Climate, weather and geography:
The Costa Blanca ('White Coast') is situated on the south east coast of Spain with a 200km coastline boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. It has an enviable climate with average temperatures ranging from 17C (63F) in the winter months to 32C (90F) in the summer and enjoying over 320 days of sunshine per year with very low rainfall. The salt lagoons near Torreveija dehydrate the air and provide a unique healthy micro dry climate. It is reported by the World Health Organisation that the area is one of the healthiest places in Europe.

Costa Blanca ('White Coast') is renowned for its white sandy beaches and most of its golden beaches fly the European Blue Flag, a hallmark of cleanliness and safety for both swimming and recreational activities. These beaches include La Zenia, La Mata, Playa Flamenca and El Cura. About 47km and 35km from the airports of Alicante and Murcia respectively lies the old fishing port of Torrevieja and its many attractions. The cuisine in the area reflects the variety of fresh seafood and there are hundreds of restaurants serving a range of international cuisine. Night life ranges from live music and dancing in a traditional Spanish restaurant, BBQ on the beach or a night out in one of the town's discos. Sailing, yachting and diving are offered at The Royal Nautical Club and the International Sports Marina. Other sporting activities include golf, tennis, bowling, horse riding and walking. Your stay may coincide with one of many fiestas held throughout the year.
Golf:
The Mediterranean climate offers fantastic opportunity to play golf almost all year round. There are several world class golf courses located near your holiday home. Villamartin golf course is almost adjacent to Urbanization Panorama Golf and visible from the solarium at the top floor. It was opened in 1972 and has a par 72 (18 holes) course. A challenging course is created by using its natural contours, cleverly placed bunkers and surrounding trees, some of which are olive. Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Oriheula was built in 1991 and has a par 72 (18 holes) course. Shortest course but also considered most challenging and there are stunning views of the lakes through the course. Real Club de Golf Campoamor was opened in 1989 and has a par 72 (18 holes) course. It is set in two valleys, the first 9 holes in one valley are quite open and the rest are in the second valley which wind through the steep sided hills thus providing a good challenge. Golf la Finca was built in 2002 and has a par 72 (18 holes) course. It is situated on the outskirts of Algorfa and considered very challenging. Club de Golf la Marquesa was built in 1989 and has a par 72 (18 holes) course, close to the capital of Murcia and is notorious for its water holes.
