The Villa is perfectly placed for the many local beaches & also many quieter coves to explore, famous for their long stretches of soft white sand & sparkling clear Mediterranean Sea. They have European Blue Flag status for cleanliness and unpolluted water. A few bars/restaurants & small British supermarket are opposite the Villa & 5min walk is Los Dolces a 3 storey plaza which boasts over 20 different restaurants, and a bit further away is Villamartin a beautiful tiled Plaza with bars, restaurants, shops & home to many colourful birds. 5 mins by taxi is the popular night spot Flamenca Beach which is very lively with bars/restaurants and live entertainment to suit all ages. For the younger adults there is Cabo Roig a popular night spot. Villamartin is home to 3 Championship Golf Courses, Campoamor with its spectacular views over the Mediterranean & Las Rambles with its lakes & ravines. There is a fairground at Torrevieja seafront, craft market & street entertainers if you visit at night

There is an air-conditioning unit which blows warm air for use in the cooler months and a built in floor safe in the wardrobe. The Patio doors lead to a balcony. There is also a TV & DVD. Bedlinen is provided and there are extra pillows available as well as extra bedding for the sofa bed which will sleep 2 children comfortably but may be a bit cramped for 2 adults.

Notes: Although smoking is not allowed inside the house there are ashtrays for use outside on the patios & solarium. The ground floor patio has table & 4 chairs. There are loungers for use outside which can be taken to the pool but will need to be brought back and a parasol. There are towels available for use inside the house but beach towels will need to be brought for use at the pool and beach. The solarium also has table & 4 chairs & a hose pipe. There a 3 body boards for taking to the beach as the surf can by really good at La Zenia. There is a clothes airier for use on the solarium and an iron & ironing board. There is also a hairdryer. The kitchen is well equipped with a selection of pots & pans, glasses, utensils, cutlery & crockery. There is also an electric kettle & toaster. For use outside there is clothes airier. Across the road from the Villa is a small British supermarket & a few bars/restaurant. A British run sports bar with satellite TV & internet with webcam and they also serve food & bar snacks. Maggies restaurant/bar owned by a British family which is very popular with diners, Clarkes Irish bar and Ruby Indian. They all have themed evenings including karaoke and live entertainment. 5 mins walk is Los Dolces, a 3 storey Plaza with many restaurants/bars including Indian, Chinese, Italian, Hungarian and many more and there are also a few shops. About 5 mins by car or taxi is 'Flamenca Beach' Plaza, a good night spot for the older kids/young adults which is very lively with bars/restaurants including Britsh owned 'Legends Bar', Spud Murphys & Chinese Wok where you can have a Buffet menu for about £5 which includes soup & crackers, many starters and duck with pancakes followed by a self-serve main course with a selection of meats, vegetables and sauce which is cooked in front of you

If you fancy a change but don't want to go to the beach, you can visit The Emerald Isle Irish entertainment centre at La Forida with 2 swimming pools, ball park and bouncy castle and the Celtic Isle Irish entertainment centre at Playa Flamenca with own swimming pool with slide and waterfall and a children's play area. Food is served by the pool and there is a KFC style take-away. Live entertainment can be heard some nights & Saturday afternoon after the nearby market. On the main N332, you will find a strip of bars/restaurants at 'Cabo Roig' about 10 mins drive and is highly recommended. There are many other small commercial centres within walking distance with places to eat/drink. As the area is still under development new bars/restaurants are being opened up all the time. If you prefer not to drive the taxis are quite reasonable should you need it which is always handy for golfers or just to go to one of the beaches

This is a great house which was clean and tidy on arrival. The property was easily large enough for my family of 5 and was comfortable as well as being tastefully decorated and furnished. There is a good selection of kitchen utensils and plenty of clean bedding and towels, the bathrooms are clean and of a good size, the downstairs lacking a window but having a fan extractor. The three bedrooms have decent proportions and overall ample storage space is available. The house is easy to find, it is situated in a small urbanisation which has some construction work close by but this did not disturb our holiday as the noise was minimal. The pool area was clean and well maintained and was generally quiet while we were there with only a handful of other users. There is a good sized supermarket and Saturday street market within walking distance as are bars and restaurants which cater for a variety of tastes and budgets. A number of excellent beaches, more shops, restaurants and take-away food can be found a few minutes away by car. The local contact and owner were a pleasure to deal with and the residents and other guests in the urbanisation were all friendly. For those that want to travel to other areas of the Costa Blanca there is easy access to major roads without them being too close.
My family had a really good holiday at this property and I feel that the price represents good value for money. I would recommend this to friends and family and would certainly consider returning on another occasion.

We had a really enjoyable stay this summer (2008). The villa was spotless when we arrived as was the rest of the small development. The owner and contact in Spain were both friendly and helpful. The only downside of the villa itself is the hard mattresses. The area is currently being developed so there is a fair bit of building work nearby but we were never disturbed by any noise.

The pool and pool area were clean and well maintained but it does lack a bit of greenery. There are nearby bars and restaurants which provide entertainment in the evening but a car is essential for supermarket and beach trips. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Affordable, luxury family holiday Villa

We visited the Villa in September 2007. An excellent quiet Villa for an affordable family holiday or a peaceful getaway. We are returning again this year. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and very helpful and even provided us a map of the area. The Villa is very clean, well maintained and well decorated. All appliances and facilities were in brilliant condition. Travellling with a baby was made easy with the stove, microwave and washing machine facilities. I was eight months pregnant when visiting and found the beds extremely hard, but I have been advised that this is typical of Spanish beds. Pool facilities are available on site. There is no grass area around the pool and the tiles around the pool are very slippery, so please be careful, especially with Children. Additional friendly on site support was made available from residents in the complex 24 hours a day. A vehicle is recommended as access to a few pubs and shops are a good 15 minute walk away. A bigger variety of restaurants are further afield. We could not find a Spanish restaurant in the area unfortunatley. You are spoilt for choices of lovely sandy beaches in the area, but own transportation is required and parking can be a nightmare on weekends. If traditional Spanish culture is what you are looking for, this would not be the area as there is a large amount of apartment construction being undetaken in the area, however building noise was never a problem. Golfers paradise as there is a choice of golf courses to play on. We had a most enjoyable holiday and recommend the Villa as a good base to explore the coastline and its close enough to Benidorm and amusement parks to entertain kids. We hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did ours.
