Immediate Area:
Close by are two newly built commercial area offering an excellent variety of bars and restaurants. Probably the most well known and a popular meeting place is The Priory Pub.There are Chinese, Indian and English restaurants, cafes and more. There is a 24 hour supermarket with the newly built super mercadonna within 5-10 minutes walk.
Villamartin Plaza:
The Villamartin Plaza, a 5 minute drive away, has a further selection of bars, shops and restaurants as well as a medical centre.It also has discos and a bowling alley. Entertainment is provided in the plaza during the summer months. The area is very lively in peak season.
Torrevieja:
Torrevieja is a nearby Spanish coastal town which has many stylish street cafes, restaurants and bars as well as a lively street market on Fridays - where you can buy almost anything. There is also a fairground and aqua parks nearby. Torrevieja boasts magnificent beaches, parks and gardens and excellent watersporting facilities - something for everyone!!
Fiestas and festivals are well represented in its social entertainment calendar.
The location of the property makes a perfect base to explore the surrounding areas including the historic towns of Orihuela and Cartagena. Benidorm is only 1.5 hours drive away. This is where the famous theme park of 'Terra Mitca' is located.
The Costa Blanca is famous for its white sandy beaches. Most are blue flag rated, denoting clean water, well tended beaches and good service.

Golf Courses
Villamartin built in the early 70's hosted the Mediterranean Open in 1994. (18 holes par 726132 metres) One of the best courses in Spain. It also has tennis facilities and a swimming pool. The Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant is also open to non-golfers.
Campoamar, famed for its micro climate, this course is set in two scenic valleys with the newly built and immaculate clubhouse at the highest point, with glorious views of the Mediterranean. The front 9 holes are deceptively open with fast, protected greens contrasting with the back 9 , winding through steep-sided hills creating a challenge to the end.
Las Ramblas, a stunning shorter course designed by Jose Grancedo. Las Ramblas, meaning old river beds, provides high tees, narrow fairways, between pine trees, raviners and over 'branches' for a test of accuracy at each hole.
