Flights

Villa Alto is equidistant from Alicante & Valencia airports & both have easy access to the motorway. Alicante is served by more airlines, both charter & scheduled. It is therefore busier, with queue's at the car hire desks. Valencia is quieter at present and still has a wide choice for car hire with little queuing. Shopping & restaurants are about the same at both. We usually fly with Ryanair into Valencia & use Iberocar (no hidden charges) for car hire.

Relaxing, Private and Comfortable

We stayed at Villa Alto in early March '08 and loved the experience. What a wonderful villa and it definately has everything inside that you could possibly want plus a view to die for! The sun terrace (in picture) is incredibly private which really ticked our box and there was almost no noise which is a treat after living in the city. There is a permanent outside BBQ which we used and each evening we were sitting outside for our meal with no-one overlooking us - very unusual.
The villa has it's own private parking area as you really need a hire car to get around and we would suggest having a smaller model as it is easier to park and economical for exploring all the mountains, beaches, vineyards and antique markets.
The weather was a gamble but was warmer than England and we came back with a suntan.
Top eating tip - there is an all you can eat Chinese buffet restaurant very close by which is amazing value and ideal for couples and families alike (I just wish we'd tried it earlier). Top wildlife tip - the marshes you see from the villa are full of birds: you can walk for miles and get some greta photos.
Thanks to everyone involved in renting this villa, we have already recommended it to friends and we hope to return. Zoe & Tony
