Local Information::
La Zenia is unique, in that it can cater for many tastes. You can enjoy a summer or winter break, a golfing or seaside break, or you may want to steep yourself in the history of the area and visit it's many museums, monuments, churches and historic buildings. There are several beautiful sandy coves and blue flag beaches within a short walk which have plenty of space for sunbathing plus play areas for the children. If you want a day off from sunbathing or golfing there are two aqua parks close by for the children (and adults!). There are also local markets to be found on most days of the week (plenty of ideas for gifts to take home or just spoil yourself). A short drive inland you can find traditional Spanish villages surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Whatever your taste this area has it all.
La Zenia::
There are many local bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and a pharmacy all within walking distance. You have an excellent choice of restaurants including traditional Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian and English to choose from.
Torrevieja::
Torrevieja is a cosmopolitan Spanish town which is a 10 minute drive North of La Zenia. It can easily be reached by car or the frequent local buses. Torrevieja has an esplanade, a marina and boasts plenty of shops, bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants. There is also a large market on the esplanade every Friday. On the outskirts of Torrevieja there are two large natural salt lakes renowned for their healing properties .
Golf:
La Zenia is every golfers dream! There are 3 championship courses within 5 minutes drive - Las Ramblas, Villamartin and Campoamor which are reasonably priced. Facilities include - club hire, caddie cart and motorised buggy hire, driving range, putting green and a pro-shop. The world famous La Manga and La Finca courses are just 45 minutes away by car. Within 45 minutes drive there are a total of 8 golf courses each with it's own unique design. All challenging and enjoyable to play.
