Moraira villa, Ab Fab sea views, 5-10 minute easy stroll to town and beaches

We had a really relaxing fortnight at La Marina, which is a spacious and well appointed villa. We did lots of walking and the villa is perfectly situated as the area in which is located is very quiet but you are only 10 minutes walk from the town. Moraira has a very varied selection of restaurants so you are really spoilt for choice. We also cooked a few meals at the villa and the kitchen is fully equipped.
The property was just as we had expected and Rob, the villa manager, was excellent.
My husband is a golf addict so we had to explore the local courses - we booked through Campbell Lamont Golf in Teulada (cheaper than booking direct with the courses).
Golf Ifach - mainly par 3's - convenient but relatively expensive
Oliva Nova - Seve designed - relatively long but flat and walkable
La Sella - Olazabal designed - walkable, original 18 the best
El Bosque - Trent Jones designed- need a buggy and quite a long trip
El Saler - fantastic course, #4 in continental Europe - worth the drive for a keen golfer
We are already looking forward to returning to La Marina and having been there, are considering taking our elderly parents as the property would be ideal for them.

The villa was in a lovely quite location with stunning views. The villa had everything you could need, it worked really well for us, plenty of space if people needed time on their own, had breakfast on the balcony most mornings and followed the sun round during the day when reading and relaxing outside with plenty of very comfy seating which is unusual. Indoors was very comfortable and nicely decorated with everything you could need , it was good to have the option of central heating as needed most evening. Had a few games of table tennis and went out and about each day so many lovely places to see and restaurants to choose from, even tried to keep up the exercise by walking down to the supermarket and back with a large water. A brilliant time was had by all and we would highly recommend Villa La Marina. Sally and Mike where very helpful with any questions, directions and information regarding the villa.

Along with our friends we are well travelled. Over the years we have grown used to exaggerated descriptions of local beaches, restaurants etc. etc.

However, when we arrived at this wonderful Villa we quickly realised the location was perfect, not right in the town but set in a beautiful, quiet, elevated road just on the periphery a few minutes walk from the town with outstanding views from the terrace right across the local Marina as far as the eye could see down the coast and over the mountains. This area also seems to have its own little micro-climate so whilst friends back home were shivering we enjoyed a full week of sunshine over the New Year with temperatures at midday reaching a very pleasant 22 degrees C

The local beaches are excellent, clean and safe, the walks can be gentle or you can hike to the top of the local hills for even more breath-taking views, golf is nearby and the restaurants are of the highest standard and very fairly priced. The whole area has a very safe and friendly feel about it.

The Villa itself is set in a well-manicured, private garden with a little shade from the palm trees if needed, a BBQ area and a very clean swimming pool, the drive-way is easily accessed from the road and will accommodate three cars. At the back of the villa there is table tennis for those with energy to spare. The kitchen like the rest of the property is spotless, well equipped and maintained. The bedrooms are spacious as was the lounge, however most of our time was spent on the terrace sipping the excellent local wines at amazingly low prices and taking in the views. The local market once a week is well worth a visit as well.

We were a group of six adults with plenty of room for all but the Villa could easily accommodate a group or a family of eight.

Needless to say our expectations were exceeded.
