Newly refurbished to very high standards our house is located on a small urbanization approximately 2 kms from Denia town centre, 100 meters to local shops, supermarket, restaurants and bars and 200 meters to Les Marinas beach. The accommodation has hot and cold air conditioning and is set in mature beautifully maintained communal gardens with palm trees and large swimming pool with separate children’s area and is available all year round. Ground Floor - newly fitted kitchen with built in oven/ hob/ extractor, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave - Utility area - Shower room & WC - Lounge/Dining Room with access onto covered terrace leading directly onto communal gardens and swimming pool. First Floor - three good sized twin bedrooms all with built in wardrobes (bed 1 has a balcony with seating area overlooking gardens) - Family bathroom with shower over bath. Private car port and security gates.

Denia is situated midway between Alicante and Valencia. The 'Capital of La Marina Alta' boasts the best all year climate and has been voted as having the healthiest climate of the Med by the World Heath Organisation. This historic 12th century castle town with its lovely marina and waterfront has many bars, shops and restaurants, indoor and outdoor markets, tree lined Marques de Campo shopping and commercial centre with pavement cafes and 17 kms of blue flag sandy beaches. 'El Montgo' massif and nature park together with the Jallon valley full of orange groves, almond and olive trees provide all year round colour with spectacular views of the coast with small traditional Spanish villages nestling in the hills. Boat trips can be taken from Denia port which include regular ferries to the Balearic Islands. Approx 30 minutes drive away are the theme parks of Terra Mitica, Aqualandia and Mundomar.

  • Bookings covering two pricing periods will be charged pro-rata. A non refundable deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required at the time of the booking. The balance together with a damage/breakages deposit of £100.00 is due six weeks prior to departure. The damage/breakages deposit will be returned following a check of the property by our local representative and the return of all keys.
  • A £15.00 per person final cleaning charge is applicable to all bookings. Midweek change of linen and cleaning is available upon request for a small additional charge.
  • Payment can be made in Euros or GBP Pounds Sterling. Cancellation charges may apply 0 - 6 weeks.

Notes: In addition to being recently redecorated the majority of the furniture has replaced with new leather 2 seater, three seater settees and arm chair in the lounge, new dining table and chairs, new beds in bedroom one and all linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware has been replaced.

Golf: There are 4 golf courses within the close vicinity of the house: Club de Golf la Sella - 18 holes. Club de Golf Javea, Javea - 9 holes. Club de Golf Oliva Nova, Oliva - 18 holes. Club de Golf Ifach, Calpe - 9 holes. There are also numerous golf courses both north and south of Alicante within 1 hours drive.

Restaurants: There are numerous excellent local restaurants within 10 minutes walk from the house offering typically spanish , german and italian cuisine. Denia town centre which is a short drive or bus journey away has an abundance of bars and restaurants and the new Marina has several restaurants and cafe's all with excellent views of not only the marina with its expensive yachts but also the ancient castle in the distance.

Sightseeing: Take a drive up into the mountains through the Jallon Valley with its beautiful orange groves and almond trees and discover the small Spanish villages such as Orba and Jalon with their market squares, cafe's, weekly markets and wine stores. Alternatively approximately 30 minutes drive away outside Benidorm visit the theme park of Terra Mitica which has some of the largest rides in Europe and Aqualandia water park and Mundomar animal theme park with sea lion and dolphin shows, or more local to Les Marinas the El Vergel safari park. Sightseeing and glass bottom boat trips can be taken from Denia port and regular ferries run between Denia port and the Balearic Islands.

Our stay in the property was our first taste of independent travelling, having always booked package holidays in the past. We were not disappointed. As a family of 4, we enjoyed our stay immensely; the house provided all that we expected for the price and more.

The owner contacted us by phone after our Internet enquiry and was very forthcoming with any questions we asked prior to booking.

The house itself is comfortable and well maintained, situated in well-kept gardens with lots of grassy areas. The pool is a reasonable size for the number of properties on the site and again well maintained.

Parking was no problem; we used the parking alongside the road outside of the property, although there is space to park a Focus sized car immediately outside the front door.

The gently shelving beach (which we never found overly crowded) is just a short walk away. You do have to cross a main road, but there is a light controlled crossing for safe transit. There are some beach chairs and a parasol available.

Locally there are a number of bars and restaurants a short walk away and a generally well stocked supermarket. All the meals from the local restaurants we used were of good quality and we thought reasonable value.

We used a nearby travel agent for discounted tickets to the Terra Mitica Theme Park, but you do have to name the day. It might be worth mentioning that the theme park charges an extra 6 euros to park a car and there are extra costs inside the park if you wish to watch one of their shows.

The house being situated where it is, enabled us to use the nearby motorway (toll road) which ment nothing between Valencia and Allicante is much more than an hours drive away.

A thoroughly enjoyable 2 weeks.
