Alicante - Self Catering Holiday Let - Sleeps up to 6 adults - 2 children. Spacious well equipped with ceiling fans in every room. The property is child friendly, travel cot, stair gates provided, communal pool has safe shallow children's area. The property is a Town House with 3 bedroom, 2 double, 1 twin, + extra single bed in anex off of the second double bedroom and single bed from below, bed settee can be used in this room if required. 2 bathrooms, 1 on first floor with shower over bath, toilet and bidet and on the ground floor, 1 shower room with toilet. Large roof terrace, with sun loungers provided and small balcony off of the double bedroom on first floor. Front patio overlooking the area above communal pool, for outdoor dining or just to sit and relax, this area is in the shade early morning, but also has a parasol for later in the day. All linen and towels provided including some beach towels, everything there for the perfect holiday. Hair dryer, Satellite TV.

The house is situated on a charming urbanization approx 10 min from the Airport, and 20 min from - Alicante town with its many shops, harbour, marina, beautiful beaches & great night-life. The historical town of Elche with its many attractions is also an easy drive, as is Santa Pola. Rio Safari Park, between Santa Pola and Elche, a good day out for the family. If you are a Golf enthusiast, there are a number of golf courses within easy reach, (details can be provided). For the children and adults alike Benidorm, with its great beaches and the Terra Mitica Theme Park (animals and water park next to each other) is only 30/40 minutes drive away (or you could take the local bus) a splendid day out for the family. Or just a few minutes away is the beautiful Carabassi Beach, (for safe swimming and sun bathing) (toilets and beach bars open in season) and from there beaches as far as the eye can see. All in all this is an ideal area for either exploring, golfing, or just relaxing.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental is generally to couples and families only. £100 deposit is required to secure a booking, this deposit is also used for security against any loss or damage. This deposit is refunded (minus any deductions if applicable) after the property has been inspected.
    Full payment is required six weeks prior to rental commencement.
    No single sex groups. Any groups aged under 25 will be subject to a £200 per person (refundable) breakage deposit. There is a further charge of 50 euros to be left in the house at the end of period. This is to cover cleaning and laundry costs. This will increase to 65 euros for groups consisting of more than 4 persons.
    Rentals start at 4pm on day of arrival, and finish at 12 noon on day of departure, unless otherwise negotiated when making booking. We do try to be flexible on this but need to know well in advance if you wish to extend these times as obviously we cannot take bookings for that day if you wish to use facilities till late afternoon/ early evening.

Notes: All linen and towels provided including some beach towels. There are sun loungers on the sun terrace and 6 chairs and a table on the front patio and 4 chairs and table on solarium. Sun shades on both sun terrace and patio. There is a BBQ that can be used on the patio or the sun terrace. There is a cold box and sun umbrellas for your convenience to use on the beach. We would prefer whenever possible that you smoke outside, even though we have not stipulated this as a no smoking property.

Week in Gran Alicant at Dawn's House

My husband and I have just returned from a week at this property in Gran Alicant. On arrival the house was found to be exactly as described and was spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk were provided as a starter pack until we managed to get to a supermarket.
The keys had arrived the previous week along with some information sheets about the flat and surrounding area. We found this extremely helpful.
The nearest restarants/bars and small supermarket are 5-8 mins walk away (The Carabassi Strip - approx 6 restarants) These we found to be perfectly adequate although for a wider choice you could take a 30 min walk to the commercial centre or a hike up the hill - probably taking you the same time.
At the Carabassi strip you can pick up the little local train or the circular bus - Both go round Gran Alicant - The bus takes 30 mins for the round trip and the train takes 1 hour.
For beach lovers - a wonderful beach just 10/15 mins walk and for those who prefer the pool - 30 seconds from the front door. .
All in all we had a very enjoyable,relaxing, chill out week in Gran Alicant and I could recommend this property to anyone intending to holiday in this area.

Quiet but convenient close to nature reserve

The area has undergone a lot of development, and the house is part of a new housing estate, but right on the edge of it. This means that you can see the mountains and don't feel in the middle of an urbanisation. In fact, the property is right next door to a nature reserve, which is a wonderful place to explore if you like nature and getting away from it all. Likewise, the Carabassi beach, 15 mins walks away, is a gem. We were there in March, so it was just about deserted, but I can imagine it is nice at any time of year. There are sand dunes and wild flowers. The walk along the beach road from here to Santa Pola is very nice too, about 5 miles. We didn't hire a car, the shop & restaurants 10 mins walk away are very convenient, but you would need a car for supermarkets, or taxi. We got a taxi into the surrounding countryside, surprisingly lovely, must go to Guadalest if you like landscape! House is comfortable and well equiped, the area quiet, we had the pool to ourselves. This is a very residential area, no big hotels, many ex pats to make you feel at home.

Great property - close to sea and shops

I am a parent of four children of varying ages - 6 to 21 and I found this property was suitable for this age range. My mother also came on holiday with us. We were able to walk to the shops and beach but I would recommend having a car to venture further afield as we found it difficult to locate taxis and the bus stop was some walk away. The sun terrace was lovely for having bbqs in the evenings and it was great to be able to use the swimming pool up to 10pm each evening. Considering there are a lot of properties around, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful and if you are looking for somewhere and you have children but dont want the noise of huge holiday apartments, then this is the place for you. It is quite safe if you have young children as there are stairgates that can be used. It is very spacious and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The property was well equipped and very comfortable.
