Javea is situated on the east coast of mid-Spain in the district of Valencia and lies beneath Mount Montgo, the local landmark. The Old Town is situated in the centre of Javea, with the main church and old covered market as its focal points. It has been refurbished to provide pedestrian areas with restaurants and shops., including a number of banks, the main post office and on Thursdays, a town market which occupies the main car park to the north of the Old Town. Javea Town is situated about a mile from Javea Port where there is a marina which includes a thriving commercial fishing centre. To the frontage of the port are further pedestrian areas and many restaurants and shops for exploring. The final part that makes up Javea is the beach area, L’Arenal, positioned in a natural harbour, with a wide promenade with restaurants, bars and shops. In the summer, there is an open air market every night.
Through an archway, there is a large paved secluded garden with a walk-in private pool which can be lit at night, and a covered barbecue area with power, a sink and units. There are sun loungers and an outdoor dining table and chairs.
Accessed off a flight of stairs is a solarium with far reaching views which is great for evening drinks.
Golf:
Within the Javea area is an 18-hole course at La Sella and a more local 9-hole course at Javea Golf Club. Further away at Olivia is an 18-hole Seve Ballesteros designed course and near Valencia the famous El Saler.
