Not quite as advertised

Location:
To get to the 'beach' was not a 10 minute walk across fields. You have to get across a very busy main road... then walk via other roads to get to a small, unpleasant, stoney beach. These 'fields' are fenced off and unaccessable. First nice beach is La Zenia, about 5 minutes drive. So, still not very far but you definitely need a car. This was a major disappointment to us as we chose this particular house as it said it was 10 mins walking to the beach and we have a young child that sleeps in the afternoon. Thankfully the shared pool was really nice! Restaurants though were easy to get to. There are indeed several nice ones nearby. The Thai, and Dynastia chinese were very good. Puccini's italian overrated.
Facilities:
There was a problem with the amount of utensils etc. that were available. If you are there with a large group there would not be enough. There should now be new pans as some of the ones that were left were rusting and were burnt through to the enamel. There should also be a new babycot (blue one) as the one we got stank of urine and was awful, this was replaced very soon thankfully. Also there are now some new deck chairs as some of the ones we had were also broken beyond repair. Now everything should be quite in order....
Cleanliness:
This for us was one of the other major points. The oven and BBQ were disgusting and clearly had not been cleaned in a very long time... Cutlery filthy (still had yoghurt and other food on them) Bed sheets with stains on... and when something was dropped and fell underneath, it was not nice to retrieve it.... the floor under the beds had not seen a hoover or brush in many months.
House overall:
The rooms were good enough in size, especially the downstairs (play)room, though the beds are pretty hard. Bathrooms are decent too, though the one on the groundfloor had a bit of a tiny shower cubicle. Unfortunately the SKY-tv has been taken away. Kitchen is a nice size, so is living room. It is also nice that there is airco in all the bedrooms and livingroom. One other point is that the house is a bit noisy and you can also clearly hear the neighbours. We had some Spanish people next door (don't know if these were actually living there) but they were very loud. ( til 4am on one occasion)
All in all it is a reasonable place to stay at but some issues that we had, put a bit of a dampner on our stay and you'll definitely need a car to get to the nice beach, don't be told otherwise!
