Nearest town

In Santa Pola there are many surfing shops and water sports activities. You can also go paragliding if you feel brave enough! Alicante is the 4th largest city in Spain so you will find many things to do and see. The marina and old quarters are ideal for an evening stroll and late night meal. A special sight is the mountain in the heart of the city with a castle on top. Well worth a visit. A car is not essential but does allow freedom to travel and explore at ones leisure.

Nature

For those of you who love nature, then Gran Alacant has the ideal combination of beaches, hills, flora and fauna and town aspects that will surely provide plenty of pleasure. The bird sanctuary has specially made watching posts and fenced off areas designed to encourage wildlife and promote a healthy living environment.

Walking

There are numerous hills not far from the house for the intrepid rambler and simple but elegant paths through parks heading toward the beach.
