Beautiful villa in Albir with Wi Fi

The villa was all that was described except for the wifi - there is no wifi although there was a dongle which was no good for our iphones. There are promises to put wifi in, but it would be worth checking if that is important to you. We ended up going into Albir every day to the same cafe which has a free wifi if you have a drink! No great hardship, but annoying as the title of the property is "with wifi".

The other small problem was the directions given us to the villa weren't very clear and what we thought would be a 45 minute car ride from the airport took us two and a half hours.......... it was only 45 mins back to the airport but we went the wrong way several times on the way there, so suggest that you get a map off google to help you!

If you like table tennis take a net and a couple of bats and balls as there is a brilliant table outside that can double up as a ping pong table (but there are no bats etc., there).

this is an ideal chill time or family holiday villa, helen is always on hand if you need anything otherwise you dont see her for the rest of your stay a ten minute walk from abir beach and a short taxi ride to benidorm if you want a lively night altea is ten minutes in the other direction and is absolutely stunning a lovely place to go for a nice meal in the square and lots of tiny shops for something a bit different we have booked in for may for a week 8 girls and we have a great time our 5th year and the family hol is booked for sept this is such a great place the villa has everything you need so if you want to chill you dont even have to go out but we would recommend a family run bar in albir the sunburnt arms karen and dave make you very welcome quite a few locals use the bar so that says it all food all cooked fresh as its ordered and the beer flows very well enjoy

We are just back from our 3 week Albir holiday in Helen's Villa. First of all I have to say that we have been holidaying in Albir for 10 years now so this review is purely for the villa in question. Well we were so impressed with the space of the villa, The rooms are so spacious. The villa is spotless clean and very well maintained, every necessity you can think of is there. There is air con. and ceiling fans in every room. Personally I loved the coin box set up for the air con. which makes you more reluctant to use it when you are heading out and not going to be there, we found we only needed to put it on for 1 hour going to bed ( €1 = 1 hr ). The outdoor area is just stunning, it's so exotic and secluded, the pool was much bigger than it appears in the web photo's and was cleaned every week. The bbq seating area is huge and the can take 12/15 people. There is a very convenient outdoor utility room, a gorgeous terrace area and lets not forget it mention the wrap around balcony with stunning views. The situation of the villa is perfect, when you come outside to the left is 4 mins to a variety of shops, supermarkets bars & restaurants, and to the right of the villa about a 5 min walk to Albir Town and a stunning pebble beach. Helen was a very welcoming host, even though our arrival was quite late on a Sat. evening she was there to meet & greet us with cold beers, chilled wine and cold drinks for the boys. Helen also provides airport transport which we delighted to availe of - it makes the holiday whole and hassle free. We have booked again for next year for 3 weeks, can't wait.
