Overview:
El Poblet is situated in Denia on the Mediterranean coast of Spain in the Costa Blanca region. It's the ideal location for a relaxing break.
It’s a traditionally styled two bedroom villa in a small development, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and a shared swimming pool. The swimming pool is of a good size and has a separate shallow area at one end, suitable for small children.
The gardens are securely enclosed within a perimeter fence and have several species of trees including various palms, olive trees and mimosa. Throughout most of the year flowering plants such as bougainvillea and hibiscus provide an abundance of colour.
The Mediterranean is literally just across the road (approx 200 yards) with a long sandy beach. Between the beach and the house is a small parade of shops, including a well-stocked supermarket, and a number of bars and restaurants.
About the villa:
The villa has a large, well furnished sitting room/dining room from which the front door leads on to a tiled patio, with outdoor table and chairs, looking over the gardens and pool. It's the perfect spot for an evening drink or BBQ.
There is a well-equipped kitchen including a large fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave. Outside the kitchen is a laundry area with washing machine. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.
The first floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed, large built-in wardrobe and other solid pine furniture in a traditional Spanish style. Leading off the main bedroom through shuttered french windows is a large tiled balcony looking over the gardens and pool.
The second bedroom is twin-bedded and also has a large built-in wardrobe with ample hanging and shelf space.
The fully tiled bathroom has a separate purpose-built shower as well as a bath, large washbasin and WC.
Surrounding area:
El Poblet is a little over one mile along the coast road from the town of Denia.
The town is a flourishing fishing port and has a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and markets. Its perfect for an evening stroll or a meal out. It retains many fine old buildings, not least its historic castle which is built into the hill which overlooks the town.
Behind Denia and El Poblet is a range of spectacular mountains of which one of the nearest and most impressive is Mt Montgo.
There is a range of sporting facilities nearby including a variety of excellent golf courses (La Sella and Oliva Nova to name two), horse riding, boat trips, Aqualandia Waterpark is approx 30/40 min drive along the coast and a tennis court on the complex.
