Hondon de los Frailes is a typical agricultural village, 74 percent of its land is given over to farming, mainly of grapes, olives and almonds though it also produces other crops that grow on irrigated land. Citric fruits, vegetables and dates are some of the typical produce grown, which farmers take to markets throughout the province. In addition to agriculture, hemp products such as brooms and brushes are also produced. The surrounding Crevillente mountains provide ideal walking for enthusiasts and casual ramblers. The area is particularly attractive for cyclists for its testing mountain passes which reward you with spectacular views.
