Casa Alicia is a beautiful modern villa equipped to the highest standards. Built on one level in traditional Spanish style it has Tosca stone arches and beamed barrel ceilings. All rooms are spacious and airy. The large grounds feature gardens, an extensive terraced area, a 10m x 5m pool, poolside shower, toilet and barbeque. Full central heating for the winter months and independent air-conditioning in each bedroom and the lounge for the summer. Although situated in a quiet area and backed by pine trees the famous Arenal beach is only 5 minutes drive away. Within 2km or so are a further 3 coves to explore with fabulous opportunities to snorkel or swim. Notes to the rental rates

• A deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking (this is non returnable) The final balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. An additional refundable deposit of £200 is payable to cover any damage or breakages. This will be returned after the villa has been cleaned and the keys have been returned. Air-conditioning is included in the price.
  
• Saturday to Saturday bookings (maybe some flexibility outside peak period). 2 week renters will have a change of towels and bed linen at the end of the first week.

Other areas to explore

Javea is close to the bustling town of Denia with its tree lined streets, pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. From Denia you can catch a ferry to Ibiza. The resort of Benidorm is only 30 minutes drive away and close by is Terra Mitica, which is one of Europes largest theme parks. Visit Aqualandia a themed water park and next door Mundomar with its dolphins, seals and parrots. A drive to Guadalest is a must with its quaint shops, narrow cobbled winding streets and spectacular views from the village square.

Javea Town

Javea lies between pine-covered Cabo De La Nao to the South and Cabo De San Antonio to the North. The town is ideal for a family holiday, especially in Spring when the area is ablaze with blossom from the almonds, and the scents of orange and lemon trees fill the air. The World Health Organisation has proclaimed Javea to be 'environmentally near perfect' and you can bask in the Costa Blanca's brightest sunshine here on about 320 days of the year. Javea Town nestles at the foot of 2,500 feet Mount Montgo, a designated Nature Reserve. It boasts a 16th century church, covered market, and for the historically minded a Museum housing a nationally important collection of rare Iberian finds from Montgo. After exploring the Town's fascinating narrow streets you can make your way to the old fishing port about 1 mile away. To the South of the old town lies the Arenal beach, a broad crescent of fine golden sand backed by a promenade of shops and restaurants.

La Guardia/ Cabo De La Nao areas

Be sure to stop at the 'Miradors' ('Viewing Points'), several of which are located within a few minutes drive of Casa Alicia. Without exception they offer stunning views from cliff top perches of rocky coves and crystal clear water. This is snorkelling territory at its best, reminiscent of Cornwall but with guaranteed good weather! From Cabo De La Nao (Costa Blanca's most Easterly point) it is possible on a clear day to see all the way to Ibiza, 100 kms away. Also close by is the idyllic bay of La Granadella, so picturesque that it is often featured on Javea's postcards.
