Javea Spain has been lucky enough to benefit hugely from the tourist invasion to the Costa Blanca, without having the problems associated with package tourism. A Javea property is perfect for family holidays, as the main beach, Arenal, is considered the best in the region for children. The sandy, gently sloping beach is protected in a rocky cove, leaving the blue flag waters calm and clear. Not only this, but the mountainous backdrop and beach front promenade boasting over 50 bars and restaurants prove that a luxury property in Javea will provide a sensational Javea holiday, and all within easy walking distance of the majority of villas in Javea.

Things to do in Javea Spain

As with many of the resorts along Costa Blanca, swimming, sunbathing, watersports, golf, tennis, bars, mouthwatering fish restaurants and sambuca (hard drinking licorice flavoured alcohol) are readily available in Javea. The market in the old part of the town on a Thursday offers local produce and art at bargain prices, and is well worth a visit.

Places to Holiday in Javea

Montgo, the spectacular mountain outcrop behind Javea Town (the locals claim it is a giant stone elephant drinking from the sea!) is a nature reserve, and there are golf courses, theme parks, water parks and a safari park (Aitana) all within a 20 minute drive.A visit to the 12th Century church Iglesia de San Bartolome is definitely worth a visit.

The town is three distinct areas, Arenal, the beach orientated part of town, the old town, charming small Arabic streets, steeped in culture and history, and the fishing port which supported the town until the 1940’s, where the fish restaurants will never fail to inspire those in Javea’s self-catering villas!

Javea Weather

Javea gets more sun that any other part of Spain, averaging well over 3000 hours of sun a year. Summer temperatures reach 40°C, and winter temperatures rarely drop below 10°C. This makes Javea a fantastic holiday resort year round, and not only during the busy months of July and August.

Flights to Javea

Javea is situated between Valencia Airport and Alicante Airport, both being about an hour by car. There are a huge number of flights from the UK to both of these on the majority of airline providers including Ryanair, British Airways and BMI.
