"La Chata" is an established and spacious villa with spectacular views from its elevated position on the lower slopes of Montgo (elephant mountain) in a quiet cul-de-sac. The villa with three double bedrooms has all modern requirements needed for a comfortable holiday including air conditioning, central heating, new dishwasher, new washing machine, oven, 4-ring hob. The lovely swimming pool (10 x 5m) is set in a large South-facing garden with palm trees and is not overlooked. There are two terraces leading from the villa, which are ideal for outside dining and a pergola situated near the pool which is great for those hot days and a BBQ located at swimming pool level and there is ample private parking within the gated and enclosed grounds. There is a friendly local family run supermarket only a five minute walk away which also has a butcher's counter and for a larger shop there are several large supermarkets in Javea.

Javea is located about an hour’s drive from either Alicante or Valencia airports. Javea is divided into three main areas: ‘The Old Town’ which oozes ancient flavour is both rustic and monumental; ‘The Port’, born out of a fishing community and; ‘The Arenal’ offering sun, sand & sea and lively beach life with its bars and restaurants open late every night and stalls selling artisan products & jewellery. Outside of these areas there are rugged coasts to explore with breathtaking views. The enlightened council has put building restrictions in place so no high rise hell here! Nearby tourist attractions – only 30 minutes' drive away is Benidorm with its water park ‘Aqualandia’ and the fantastic theme park ‘Terra Mitica’ - both directly accessible from the AP-7 motorway. The village of Gata, 5 minutes away, is known for its basket ware and artisan goods and is well worth visiting. A trip up into the mountains with stops at Guadalest and Les Fonts d’Algar is a must.

Lovely villa - perfect for family holidays

We have just returned home from a week at La Chata and would highly recommend it. If you are after lazing by the pool, a few trips to local towns and beaches and BBQ's in the evening then it is the perfect choice.

The villa is clean, well maintained and amply equipped with everything you need. The pool is a great size and suitable for all ages with roman steps in the shallow end. It is also well maintained and clean. The villa is also extremely secure and we felt very comfortable being there with our 10 month old.

The owners provide an information pack prior to arrival including easy to follow directions and information about the villa so you know what to expect when you arrive which takes stress out of what can be a long days travel.

There is a local supermarket within walking distance (although he shuts relatively early for Spain at about 7pm - and don't forget about the siesta when he is also shut) and a number of larger ones in Javea (about a 15 min car journey away) which are open all day Monday to Saturday. The same applies for restaurants - there are a few within walking distance - although there is no proper pavement on the road but the majority are in Javea with a large number in the Arenal district - La Boheme was particularly enjoyable.

We have spent 2 holidays at this villa. Ideal for people with young children as totally enclosed. Pool is fantastic. Had barbecues most of the time as local supermarket really good for fresh meat. Veiws are to die for. All in all a really super time was had by all age range 3 to 65. Owners really helpful and good guides sent prior to start of holiday. Would definately recommend and hope to go again.
