Photos and Description of this Javea holiday villa 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, sleeps 10 & recently refurbished

Beautiful & secluded Spanish “cortijo” (farmhouse) set in 2.5 acre landscaped garden and orchards & within 5 minutes of Jávea town and the main Jávea beach at Arenal has recently been refurbished. The orchard produces oranges, lemons & other fruits. There is a magnificent 12 x 4 pool, BBQ area and badminton court (rackets etc. supplied) and ample parking area. The grounds are totally enclosed and the pool secluded. The villa consists of two separate (but joined) units with a total of 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 living/dining rooms, breakfast and TV room (DVD & stereo system). For outdoor relaxation there is a large veranda (naya) fully furnished in rustic style and a patio and sun terrace (all enjoying different exposures to the sun) with open views to the gardens which all makes for a secluded and relaxing holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. A restaurant listing is provided (we now have 7 Michelin stars in the immediate area).

As well as Javea's blue flagged beach, there are many family activities within an easy drive and a number of secluded beaches. Terra Mitica, the EU’s newest theme park is but 25km south by car. With new rides and activities being added constantly, coupled with the clean, friendly atmosphere, Terra Mitica is a must for families. Aqualandia and Mundomar are similarly located. Aqualandia is a water park not to be missed. There is a separate and extremely safe area for small children, which is totally visible from a large sunbathing area. Mundomar is a real treat for marine animal lovers with a sensational dolphin display. Also within a 15 minute drive there is a complete Safari Park at Vergel with different shows. In the area of Jávea there is 2 golf courses, sailing, water sports, tennis, horse-back-riding, visits to museums and galleries in the old town of Jávea.

The huge, mature, tranquil & beautiful gardens (10,000 m2) are completely secure (fenced) yet the beach is approx.3km away. Linen (except beach towels) is supplied and changed weekly. Water, electricity & gas are included. Returnable security deposit required €600-900 (depending on length of stay) but this can be covered by a credit card. There is a nominal laundry charge of Euro 10.00 per person per week and a single contribution towards final cleaning of Euro 130.00. Deposit approx. one third of rental on signature of agreement with balance due 6 weeks before arrival. A car is essential (very special competitive car-hire rates are available to us via the region's No.1 company - please ask for tariffs before booking).

Golf & other attractions: We are ideally placed for golf, the nearest course, Jávea GC (please, contact us for link) is less than 10 minutes away. A 9-hole course, which is more difficult than it looks, it enjoys superb views of the 'landmark' mountain, Montgó, dominating Jávea (Green fees approx. Euros 70.00). Towards Denia about 15 minutes away is La Sella GC, a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield about 30 minutes away is a new course at Oliva (designed by Seve Ballesteros). Also just south of Valencia there is the famous championship links course of El Saler. The theme park TERRA MITICA is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down the A7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia and MundoMar (dolphins) outside Benidorm. All of these make wonderful outings for the children. The much less frequented beaches at Granadella, Portichol and Cumbre del Sol add to attractions. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic parks (5000 different fish) at Valencia make a spectacular day's outing.

great holiday for family

Beautiful location with a rustic feel with all the conveniences and amenities of modern living.
As soon as you enter you feel transported to country life in Spain. Converted farm with several intricate corridors and passages that reveal several rooms all with their own bathrooms and shower and private terraces. The house thus has provides the family with spaces for intimate and communal moments. the grounds are covered with beautiful range of trees that provide a sense of real country in the middle of the Costa.
It also had DVD and video player. Although the satellite was not working properly and the big TV was tuck away in a smaller living room rather than in the big one. But maybe that is better to have the kids in that room watching DVDs or TV while adults have the main room for their own.
Overall a great experience for me and my friends
Very close to all the Javea supermarkets which are surprisingly well supplied with British produces.

Belle maison beaucoup trop chère !

Très jolie maison de caractère typique. Toutefois, nous avons eu beaucoup de problèmes avec l'électricité qui sautait tout le temps... et l'eau chaude qui avait "disparu" pendant 1 semaine.

Cette maison est beaucoup trop chère par rapport à ces incommodités.

De plus, elle présente beaucoup de recoins, escaliers et dénivellations : attention aux enfants et aux personnes à mobilité réduite ou "dans la lune" !

Dommage car le jardin est magnifique avec tous ces orangers.

Elle est relativement calme, même si quelques voisins bruyants peuvent gâcher l'impression de solitude que nous recherchions.
