This delightful architect built villa (Manuel de Jonge) is situate on a cul-de-sac high on the front of the Costa Nova escarpment and enjoys magnificent views across the whole of Jávea bay, the port and Jávea old town as well as the imposing Montgó. The villa is now under new foreign ownership (but the same local management) and has been completely refurnished and equipped. It has 4 double rooms (2 double-bedded & 2 twin-bedded), 3 bath/shower rooms, terrace with barbecue and secluded swimming pool with further BBQ at pool level. There is central heating in winter and pool heating, via a heat pump (electric), is now available (see details under rental rates). Satellite TV (SKY system) can be obtained via a 2.4m dish (and using the client's own digibox is so desired).

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices are now shown in Euros. Changeover day is Thursday (although flexibility is often possible outside the main season). Gas for central heating is meter-read, and charged at cost (+IVA/VAT), thus allowing the client complete control over comfort levels. There is a per capita laundry charge of Euro 10.00 pp/per week and a contribution to final cleaning of Euros 100.00.
  • The new heat pump for the swimming pool has proved a great success. The metered cost of maintaining the pool at 28C appears to be about Euros 60 per week. Of course, this can be a little higher in colder weather but once achieved then maintaining that temperature is cheaper. The technology is clearly better than gas heating and it has proved to be substantially cheaper. The electricity is meter-read and charged at cost (+IVA/VAT).
  • Cots and high-chairs can be hired (at €18 and €12 per week, respectively). These must be booked in advance.

Notes: A 2.4m satellite dish is now installed at the villa permitting UK residents to bring their home digibox with their own personalized and registered SKY card inside (existing digibox provides only SKY family package). The client's own digibox will provide nearly all the programmes contracted for under the client's UK card (except BBC2 and a few other channels that fade in the evenings - thanks to the actions of someone called Greg Dyke who moved the footprint in order to try to cut off as many people in Spain as possible. Thus it takes a 2.4m dish to get around most of this problem).

The villa is on one level (with a few steps up and down). The 10 metre pool, below the terrace, is secluded (and can be heated in winter). The villa is about 6km (5 mins. by car) from the town, port, beaches, shopping, restaurants and nightlife (we have 6 Michelin stars in the area). The Cabo de la Nao lighthouse & beautiful beach of Granadella are nearby. The living/dining areas enjoy fabulous views and there are 2 BBQs (one at pool level). The comfortable living area has a fireplace. A new brightly tiled kitchen offers pantry, superb large new British gas stove, giant fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave (plus good kitchen equipment) and new integrated Kinetico (American) water-softening system. There are two general bathroom/toilets (one with shower) and one en-suite (to the master bedroom). The villa is fully alarmed.

There is a small furnished sun roof and extensible sun blind over the patio. The villa has central heating for winter months. The pool can also be heated during winter (via a heat pump - electricity is metered and charged at cost; see details under rental rates). The TV set has DVD facility and with the new 2.4m satellite dish UK residents must bring their digibox + card with them. There is also a CD player. In winter the gas for central heating is metered and charged at cost. All linen is supplied except beach towels. Deposit approx.33% on signing of agreement with balance of rental to follow 6 weeks before the starting date. Security deposit (returnable) is £400/500 depending on length of stay. A car is essential (very special competitive car-hire rates are available via the region's No.1 company - please ask for tariffs before booking)

Golf & other features:: The villa is ideally placed for golf. The Jávea Golf Club green fees approx. €60), less than 10 minutes away, offers a 9-hole course, more difficult than it looks, and has like, La Sella, superb views of the 'landmark' mountain, Montgó, dominating Jávea. The famous and beautiful La Sella (18 - holes - green fees €70) is about 10km away. Further afield (about 30 minutes) is the new course at Oliva (designed by Seve B.) and just south of Valencia is the famous links course of El Saler. Green fees are otherwise around €65. The theme park TERRA MITICA is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down the AP7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia (water park) and MundoMar (dolphins) outside Benidorm. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic parks (5000 different fish) at Valencia make a spectacular day's outing.
