This fully furnished single storey villa takes advantage of it's clifftop location with fantastic sea views. There are private gardens to front and rear, and the beach is quiet, secluded and only 2 mins drive away! There is access to a private shared pool right by the property. You also have the choice of a communal pool 5 mins walk away, next to a traditional Spanish Restaurant and bar. Supermarket and Pharmacy are within walking distance. Tennis, golf, horse riding and many other fine beaches are within 5 kilometres. You can relax in the garden topping up your tan, or take advantage of the excellent mountain biking and walking this area offers. Cumbre del Sol is positioned between Moraira and Javea, both of these major tourist areas providing great facilities for adults and children alike.

Moraira originally was a small fishing village and retains much of it's original charm. There are plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from, and 3 blue flag sandy beaches as well as rocky diving coves. The beaches are swept daily and the water is calm and shallow - ideal for the little ones! The mix of quaint cobble streets and beautiful shops, along with the open-air weekly market and daily fish market, make it a great base for a holiday. Stop for a coffee at the pavement cafe and watch the world go by or feed the fish at the local harbour. Within 1/2 hr drive are the theme and water parks at Benidorm and at Denia a ferry service to the Balearic Islands with Alicante Airport South and Valencia Airport North just an hour away.

Notes: Garden safe & secure for children - families very welcome. It is possible to have bedlinen and towel service arranged at an extra cost. A starter pack can also be arranged so you don't have to worry about providing milk etc. on arrival (at a small cost) There is a cot and highchair available for your use in the villa at no charge. General Information: Cumbre del Sol is a high quality, mature development situated halfway between Moraira and Javea near the village of Benitachell. They all have their own general history, key attractions, annual events, tourist info, and much more. The surrounding mountainous countryside is spectacular, much appreciated by both walkers and climbers. Costa Blanca towns and villages are generally unspoilt and a joy to explore, and it is easy to get off the beaten track and reap the rewards of exploring inland. The beaches are among the finest, either sandy or pebbly, with clear waters and excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities. The local supermarket includes butchers, bread and patisserie shop, fresh fruit & veg, freezer and delicatessen area, an excellent wine and spirits selection, and newspapers in all languages. It is only a 5 min walk from the villa. Ideal for getting fresh croissants in the morning. There is also a bank, bar, restaurant and pool there. Full brochure on our web site

Theme Parks : The new attractions of Terra Mitica, Mundomar and Aqualandia are only twenty miles away. or a 1/2 hr drive.

Golf & Horse riding Information: There are 2 golf courses near to the villa, one in Moraira and one in Javea. Javea golf course has 9 holes and is reputed to be a challenge to both experienced and novice golfers! (About 15 mins away) Benissa golf course (nr Moraira) takes about 30 mins to get there, and is also a 9 hole challenging course. Details of both courses are in the villa information at the house. There is a local Hippica which offers great horse riding around the rural setting close to the villa. You can take advantage of the sea views while picking your way along the cliff tops. There is also another Hippica on the main Javea to Gata road, excellent value at 60 euros per hour for 3 people and highly recommended by previous guests.

A little bit of everything you fancy

Thoroughly enjoyed 11 days at new year with 2 adults and 2 children. Good position in large but spacious clifftop development between Javea and Calpe - small but attractive and safe garden, good sea and cliff view from villa, brilliant views in all directions two minutes up the hill, and a very scenic beach at the foot. Easy to live in once you've learnt the ropes - mainly the quirky gas heater - and very well set up for families: feeding chair, toys, buckets and spades, lots of DVDs for all ages. Swimming pool a few metres down the road maintained all year (but not heated), good local shop and cashpoint, lots of excellent stuff to cook (this area is fish heaven) and plenty of restaurants nearby. Well placed for access to many good places within under an hour.
To get a 5th star it would need easier heating - you will probably have to go to Javea and swap gas bottles - and we'd guess airconditioning would be worth putting in for all year round. As it is it's great value and we'd happily recommend it to anybody with their own transport who enjoys exploring a locality with lots to offer beyond Benidorm.

We have electric heaters which provide instant heat for those colder evenings at the press of a switch and will try to find a solution for our gas heater.

This is a wonderful villa and the views are breathtaking we spent many a happy hour having breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace. The peace and quiet was great and a great location if you like walking. The villa is well equipped and the description was extremely accurate. The information supplied at the villa on local amenities and attractions was excellent and very helpful.
We found by accident the walk to Grandella Castle which is not for the faint hearted or if you are afraid of heights.
