Las Palmeras is an outstanding property offering some of the best accommodation and private leisure facilities in Jávea. Truly this is a villa full of rustic Spanish charm situate in a beautiful and peaceful part of Jávea on the pine covered slopes of Cap Marti and with mountain views yet is only minutes from shops, restaurants, sandy beaches and rocky coves. This is a corner of Spain known for its hospitality with many Fiestas and vibrant markets. The villa is comfortably furnished, with antique floor tiles & traditional rustic high beamed ceilings. The wall hangings & furnishings have been collected during the owner's extensive travels to the Orient and give the house a feel of calm and natural serenity. The spacious lounge with Tosca stone fireplace, large chandelier and deep comfortable sofas is overlooked by a minstrel's gallery which can be reached via a staircase featuring hand carved balustrades. Leading from the gallery are the upstairs sleeping quarters.

Las Palmeras is situate in a tranquil high quality residential area on the pine covered slopes overlooking the coastal town of Jávea, the most easterly part of Spain. The old town of Jávea lies beneath the magnificent Montgó mountain amongst orange, olive and almond groves, the port beneath the Cabo San Antonio. Jávea is approx. equidistant from both the airports of Alicante and Valencia and is divided into three distinct districts: The historic medieval town, with its white washed houses, narrow cobbled streets and Gothic fortified church of San Bartholome; the fishing port with marina, restaurants and piazzas; and El Arenal, the sandy beach at the bustling heart of the palm-lined bay with a long promenade filled with lively bars and shops offering a wide variety of family entertainment.   • A welcome pack is included. Clients may use the safe. Water, gas, electricity are included. Rental deposit of approx. one third due on signature of agreement; balance due 6 weeks before arrival. There is a returnable security deposit (€600/900 depending on length of stay) payable with the rental balance. If your booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival then the full amount must be paid at the time of booking. For those not able to make a sterling security deposit (Euro zone, for example) security cover is undertaken by means of a credit card. To ensure that property can be cleaned and prepared in time for the next client please leave the property as you would expect to find it. Check-in time is after 15:00h, departure by 10:00am. The deposit will be returned by internet transfer after final inspection and within 2 weeks of departure. Contact details for the arrival of clients will be supplied upon payment of the rental balance.
  • There is a nominal laundry charge of Euro 10.00 pp/per week and single contribution to final cleaning of Euro 120.00. More details and photos can be supplied upon request.

A house full of Spanish character : The air-conditioned master bedroom is comfortable and elegant. Tall wooden beams and rustic floor tiles divide the sleeping area from a relaxation area. The room is lit by art deco wall lights and furnished with an antique chest of drawers and a post-modern lounger. French windows open on to the balcony with views over the palm shaded gardens. There are two easy chairs on the balcony providing the perfect place to relax. The 2nd upstairs bedroom has A/c and a pretty 'Juliet' style balcony overlooking the gardens. On the ground floor the main living room leads on to the main L-shaped Naya through a carved Tosca stone arch. This is a room in which to relax whilst sitting back in Lloyd loom original wicker chairs and wide comfortable sofas to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The windows look out over gardens which are floodlit at night.

The master bedroom: The naya leads on to the main upper terrace and outdoor dining area; this is decorated in Moorish style with lamps & rustic pottery and shaded by an awning. Here you can watch the sun set behind the mountains with a glass of wine, dine alfresco or look out over the pool and tennis courts.

The Area : The World Health Organisation once famously described the Costa Blanca as having a near perfect climate with 320 days of sunshine every year. Despite so much sun, Jávea is sheltered from the extremes of heat and drought by its own unique micro-climate which helps to keep the area lush green all year round. Take time to explore the beautiful Jalón Valley or if you are feeling particularly energetic climb the footpath to the summit of the Montgó. This is a corner of Spain known for its hospitality with many Fiestas and vibrant markets. For those less inclined, unspoiled beaches and rocky coves can be quickly reached by car within 5 - 10 mins.

Golf: We are ideally placed for golf - the nearest, Jávea GC is less than 10 minutes away. A 9-hole course, more difficult than it looks, has superb views of Montgó dominating Jávea (Green fees approx. Euros 65). Towards Denia (c.15 minutes) is La Sella GC, a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield (c.35 minutes) there is an excellent course at Oliva (18-holes, designed by Ballesteros) and, south of Valencia, the famous 18-hole championship links course at El Saler. OTHER FEATURES: The theme park TERRA MITICA is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down AP7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia (swim-park; website available on request) and MundoMar (dolphins) outside Benidorm. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic (5000 different fish) parks at Valencia make a spectacular day's outing (website on request).
