Las Palmeras is located near the coastal town of Javea in Cap Marti, one of the most easterly parts of Spain. The area forms part of the rocky peninsula that overlooks the Bay of Javea and is surrounded by rich Mediterranean pine forest. Nearby Javea town can be found sheltering under the magnificent Montgo (elephant) mountain amongst the orange, olive and almond groves. Javea is situated an hour in either direction from both the international airports of Alicante and Valencia and is divided into three distinct districts: The historic medieval town, with it's white washed houses, narrow cobbled streets and Gothic fortified church of San Bartholome; the fishing port with marina, restaurants and piazzas; and El Arenal, the bustling heart of the sandy palm lined bay with a long promenade filled with lively bars and shops offering a wide variety of family entertainment. Javea's unspoilt coastline and mountainous landscape make it an area of outstanding natural beauty.

  • A welcome pack is included and use of the safe. Rental charges provide for the cleaning prior to arrival. To ensure that property can be prepared in time for the next client please leave the property as you would expect to find it. Check in time after 3:30pm, departure by 10:00am. Your booking will be confirmed when 30% of the total rental has been received. The balance together with a refundable deposit of 500€ must be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of your stay. If your booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking. The deposit will be returned by transfer after final inspection, within 1 week of departure. Details of how to find the property and a map will be supplied along with a written confirmation of your booking. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday; although, Thursday to Thursday may be possible.

A house full of Spanish character

Comfortable furnishing, with antique floor tiles and traditional rustic high beamed ceilings throughout. The wall hangings and furnishings have been collected during the owner's extensive travels to the Orient and give the house a feel of calm and natural serenity. The spacious lounge with Tosca stone fireplace, large rustic chandelier and deep comfortable sofas is overlooked by a minstrel's gallery which can be reached via a staircase featuring hand carved balustrades. Leading from the gallery are the upstairs sleeping quarters. The air-conditioned master bedroom is comfortable and elegant. Tall wooden beams and rustic floor tiles divide the sleeping area from a relaxation area. The room is lit by art deco wall lights and furnished with an antique chest of drawers and a post-modern lounger. French windows open on to the balcony with views over the palm shaded gardens. There are two easy chairs on the balcony providing the perfect place to relax.

The master bedroom

leads off to a spacious dressing room furnished with rustic wardrobes and a tall dressing mirror and an en-suite bathroom. On the upper floor is a second double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This room is air-conditioned and has a very pretty 'Juliet' style balcony with views towards the mountains through tall palms. The room is tastefully furnished with simple elegance. On the ground floor the main living room leads on to the main L shaped Naya through a carved Tosca stone arch. This is a room to relax in whilst sitting back in Lloyd loom original wicker chairs and wide comfortable sofas to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The windows look out over gardens which are lit at night. The Naya leads on to the main upper terrace and outside dining area. The area is decorated in the Moorish style with lamps and rustic pottery and is shaded by an awning. Here you can watch the sun set behind the mountains with a glass of wine, dine alfresco or look out over the pool and tennis courts.

The Area

The World Health Organisation once famously described the Costa Blanca as having a near perfect climate with 320 days of sunshine every year. Despite so much sun, Javea is sheltered from the extremes of heat and drought by its own unique micro climate which helps to keep the countryside green all year round. Take time to explore the beautiful Javea Valles or if you are feeling particularly energetic climb the footpath to the summit of the Montgo Mountain and enjoy 360 degree views over the coast and distant Balearic islands. This is a corner of Spain known for it's hospitality, many Fiestas and vibrant markets. For those less inclined, unspoiled beaches and rocky coves can be quickly reached by car within 5 to 10 minutes. A little further down the coast are the livelier attractions of Benidorm including the world famous Terramitica theme park, Aqualandia water park as well as the vibrant nightlife of the Costa Blanca (approx 40 minutes).
