Casa Lucia is a traditionally styled Villa, with the addition of all the modern conveniences that are designed to make your stay more comfortable. All on one level the villa is situated on the mainly residential Rafalet development, enjoying views of the Montgo and west down the valley to the Bernia mountains. Picture yourself enjoying those wonderful sunsets, with a drink on the terraces of the villa as the sunsets behind those distant mountains. Set in very mature and level gardens with plenty of terracing, the large plot is well screened to ensure privacy. Javea old town, the beach of the Arenal and the Port, each with their own charm, are about 3 km away whilst the Javea golf course is within a few hundred yards. Due to location a car is considered essential. Well situated for a good selection of restaurants within just a few hundred metres.

Rafalet, Javea is situated on the Costa Blanca with 220 km of coast and 100km of white sandy beaches. Mid way between Alicante and Valencia with their international airports, Javea lies between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao. It is surrounded by orange, olive and almond groves and the Montgo Mountain. Javea is divided into 3 areas: the Old Town with narrow cobbled streets and white washed houses, the fishing port and marina and the El Arenal sandy beach ,with promenade, shops, bars and restaurants.. Rafalet has been described as the first haven of peace from the summer hustle and bustle of Javea old town and beach areas. The villa itself is situated on a level plot, on the west facing hill that makes up Rafalet. All this but within easy reach of all the holiday facilities, Restaurants, Bars, Shops etc.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Saturday to Saturday bookings. (10% Discount on 2nd week)
    Access to the villa after 3:00pm on day of arrival, villa should be vacated by 10:00am on day of departure.
    All towels and bedding linen changed once a week. Beach/Pool towels not included. 2 week rentals will have a cleaning service at end of first week. Cot and high chair can be arranged on request. A welcome pack will await your arrival to provide those initial requirements for a drink or quick snack at the end of your journey.
  • A deposit of 20% of total rental is required to secure a booking. Balance payable 6 weeks prior to start of rental. A Further security and electricity deposit of £200 will be required in order that you can set your own comfort levels with the air conditioning and or pool heating. An easily understood meter set at direct cost recovery rate, allows you to monitor your usage. The balance of deposit will be refunded within 7 days of vacating the villa.
  • Rates include gas for water heating and cooking, water supply, pool and garden maintenance, they do not include flight costs, transfers to and from the airport, car hire or any insurances which we recommend you arrange for your own security.

Notes: Extensive refurbishment has been completed to this traditional villa, including kitchen and new floors throughout the villa. The naya has been converted to being fully enclosed with comfortable seating for 7 people, extensive terracing around the pool area with an ample supply of loungers and sun shades. The spacious master bedroom enjoys an ensuite shower room, and french windows out onto the main pool terrace. The second (double) and third (twin) bedrooms are of a good size. All the bedrooms are amply equipped with built in wardrobes and drawer space. All three bedrooms plus lounge and dining room are fully air conditioned but individually controlled.The villa water supply has the benefit of a water softener, also a deposito backup supply of water should the mains fail in quality or service.

Reception rooms: The entrance is via the Naya formed from Tosca arches, fully enclosed with plenty of comfortable seating to take in the views. All the bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and separately controlled. A comfortably furnished, air-conditioned lounge is entered via the double arched doors and features further Tosca arches and beamed ceilings. All the usual entertainment facilities are available including widescreen TV, DVD with Sky+ digital satellite facility with Sky Sports pack in addition to all the normal programs, also a CD player and radio. The separate air-conditioned dining room has spacious seating for 6 people.

Kitchen & Utility areas: The refurbishment of the spacious kitchen has been sympathetically completed to retain a traditional design. It comes very well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer, also plenty of cupboard space housing a good supply of utensils for your added convenience. The separate Utility room gives space for a sink and the washing machine, tumble dryer and the hot water boiler. The villa generally comes fitted or supplied with all you need to make your stay comfortable. Immediately outside the kitchen is an ideal walled and secluded area for breakfast or dinner with table and chairs for seating six people.

Pool & Garden areas: Outside, the garden is separated into various seating and relaxing areas, on the west side there is the heated (when required) 9-metre pool which has roman steps into the shallow end surrounded by ample terracing and lawn areas. Plenty of sun-beds with sun umbrellas, table and chairs under a gazebo to get out of the sun when required, also swing seat. On the east side the garden is more formally walled with ornamental trees winding paths and a built-in barbeque area. Further seating and table on a slightly raised terrace. On the south side two separate patio areas the first with a covered area and built in bench for that sheltered refuge fromthe sun, the second ideally situated outside the kitchen for those breakfasts in the sun. There is a second built-in barbeque in this patio.

We all loved it! The ambience of the house, with plenty of room both outside and in, was just what we wanted for a relaxing holiday. The villa was thoughtfully equipped in every way and the patios and swimming pool were delightful. The views were lovely by day and night and we often ate by the pool in the evening but breakfasted in the walled BBQ area - a lovely way to start the day. BBQ area was well-used and it was a wonderful location to celebrate our son's 18th birthday.Our family is quite self-contained as we lead busy lives and use holidays to catch up with each other. Our daughter is 20 and good company for her brother but other families might be disappointed if hoping to make friends with the neighbours as we did not see any. On the other hand no problems with the neighbours! Quiet residential area so could enjoy strolling around to restaurants, c. 20 mins walk for able-bodied. Need to drive to sea and Javea with lively, family restaurants and quite upmarket. Found the restaurant review very helpful. Found a friendly baptist church nearby too! Hope to be back sometime but not this year. We would have no hesitation in recommending the villa to anyone who could afford it- it would be beyond the price range of many of our friends but we felt that it lived up to its description. Only drawback for some beach lovers would be having to drive there but we prefer a quiet poolside as we are all happy without sand over everything and our privacy and guaranteed sunbeds, umbrellas etc.

The best holiday home we've ever stayed in

We have just returned from staying at Casa Lucia and had an absolutely wonderful time. The villa was even better than it seemed in the property details and was deceptively spacious with everything, and more that you could ever want. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our boys (aged 7, 11 and 13) were thrilled with the pool. The youngest was pleased with the shallow end but by the end of the holiday he was swimming lengths confidently. I enjoyed sitting on one of the 6 sun loungers by the pool watching the boys playing and taking in the views of the beautifully kept garden and over the trees to Montgo. My husband was thrilled that there was an internet connection so that he could do some work on his laptop. The boys also enjoyed the Sky TV and DVD player for relaxing in the evening. We had breakfast at the table on the patio outside the kitchen and lunch under the gazebo by the pool. There were so many seating areas both inside and out and plenty of umbrellas. We mostly ate out in the evening although enjoyed several bbqs at the villa. Javea is less than 10 minutes in the car and there are lots of restaurants there as well as Moraira 15 minutes in the other direction. There are also several very good restaurants 2 minutes drive away from the villa (one has excellent garlic chicken and we went there 3 times). There is alot to do in the area and we had a great day at the Aqualandia waterpark and Algar waterfalls both of which are about 40 minutes away. The beach at Javea is really nice and we had fun on a pedleo there. We all felt very relaxed at Casa Lucia and have already booked to go back next August and only wish it was sooner. I wouldn't hesitate at recommending this villa especially for families with children.

Perfect Villa for Family Hoilday

This villa was just perfect for our family holiday, travelling with a two year old and a one year old we needed a home from home and this was exactly what we got. The villa was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. If needing the highchair and travel cot they were of fantastic quality. Views were stunning, pool was perfect, lovely bar-b-q area right off the kitchen which we used on numerous occasions.
A short drive to a lovely sandy beach and some fantastic restaurants all very child friendly.
Have already booked to go back again next year !

great holidays

we really enjoyed our stay and the fact that we cannot find anything wrong must be a good thing. We need the internet for my husband's business and that worked well. The air con was really a must and the BBQ really practical just next to the kitchen so very handy.
Would have gone back this year but it was already booked for the dates we picked!!!
