Leisure activities:
There are many golf clubs in the area including: Javea Golf Club, La Sella Golf Club and Oliva Nova Golf Club (see golf section for more information).
The tourist office provides information on self-guided walks of the area, the Montgo mountain proves very popular.
Also in summer, pleasure boats sail between Javea Port and Denia up to 3 times a day.
Accompanied horse rides and lessons are available at the Centro Hipico Javea.
There are a number of actives for children in the Benidorm area which include Mundomar marine park, Aqualandia water park and Terra Mitica 'historical' theme park. El Vergel safari park is 20 minutes north (near Denia) and also in the area are a number of go-karting tracks.
Valencia City is well worth a visit for the Central Market, L'Oceanografic (spectacular aquarium) that forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences and a hop on hop off open top bus tour of the city.
Golf:
Within 10 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant.
La Sella Golf Club is 15 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obtacles. This is a private members club open to the public. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool.
Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts.
Within a half hour drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. This testing course 18 holes, par 72 and 7,051 metres. The club has a shop, driving range, restaurant, swimminng pool and fitness centre.
