Javea holiday villa: Pinosol

We have stayed in Javea several times but mostly in May and September but this time we were there in August with our 5 and 3 year old. The villa was perfect for us. a great location only 5 mins drive from the lovely Arenal beach. The pool was fantastic, despite the shallow end being quite deep, it meant my 5 year son had to learn how to swim! which he duly did. The support rails into and in the pool were ideal for me as i'm unsteady on my feet, which made the pool extra safe and the best holiday pool i've ever had. Inside the villa was very homely and the a/c was set at a perfect level to help cool the comfortable bedrooms at night. Shower cubicles were nice and easy to access as our on-suite cubicle was level. Kitchen had all you could want and the living room was relaxing with a plenty of satellite tv to choose from. parking was directly outside the villa on the road and its location was residential, quiet and relaxing, apart from our 3 and 5 year olds!
Really like Javea and was pleasently surprised that parking in the beach area was not as horrendous as i had expected. I do have use a disabled badge which helped in the day as they do have several spaces on the front and access to the beach is very good. Our little ones love using the play areas and we can easily camp up under the many palm trees on the beach. At night there are many stalls along the front so all disabled parking is forsaken, but we did not have any problem parking - its all about timing, at some point someone leaves the beach and you 'swap' - stayed for 2 weeks and did not experience one night that we didn't get parked. its a very relaxing resort, no real boom boom bars and some of the restaurants are lovely (La Bohiem Luna Mama, Pepa Pizzaria).The older port area offers a change of scene and atmosphere to the newer Arenal. Had a couple of nights there in a lovely restaurant right on the front. More difficult for me to get around so couldn't comment on walking about the port area but hear its nice with good tapas bars.
took a couple of trips up to each of the local lighthouses which the children loved to explore. The funfair at the end of the beach was great fun for little ones - ok it was a bit expensive but they did a couple of things not done before which was great and the people running the place were very helpful and friendly, went back several times before dinner!

all in all a great time, recommend Javea for a family holiday and the villa was faultless. perfect.
