Javea: The Javea area of the Costa Blanca is best known for its unspoiled beauty and excellent 'Blue Flag' beaches. Javea itself is split into three main areas. The 'Arenal' offers beautiful white sandy beaches, a promenade of shops, bars and restaurants with a small fair for the children in the Summer Months with rides, trampolines and go-karts. The Port is a traditional fishing port with a large Marina, intimate cobbled streets, a brightly lit promenade of restaurants and bars and clean pebbled beaches. The Historic town with its white house fronts and cobbled streets is a typical 'Spanish' town relatively unspoilt with a quiet and relaxing ambiance. The spectacular fiestas of Javea begin in June and continue through the Summer months. Residencial Toscamar is under 1km away from a quiet rocky beach ideal for swimming and sunbathing and the Arenal beach is less than 2km. A regular Bus Service (half-hourly in peak season) links Toscamar direct to the Arenal, Port and the Historic Old Town.

Nearby areas of interest & Tourist Attractions: Javea is less than one hours drive by car from Benidorm, which has many attractions for all ages, including 'Mundomar' an animal Water Park, 'Aqualandia' a themed swimming park and 'Terra Mitica' a large fun park, boasting some of the largest rides in Europe. Oct 05 - Having just returned from our holiday felt we had to write to say how much we enjoyed our stay and how impressed we were at the facilities available. We all loved the Villa, Pool, Bar & Restaurant on the complex. We were extremely happy with the standard of the accommodation and the cleanliness of the Property, we are seriously considering renting the Villa again next year. Thanks again for your contribution to a wonderful week in Javea. April 03 - We have come to the end of a very enjoyable stay in Javea, the scenery, the food, the people, the beautiful beaches are a pleasure No 63 very bright & comfortable with everything you need.
June 03 - Thanks, its fantastic here, your Spanish Villa is lovely. July 03 - Toscamar is great, Villas great too! I hope we come here again.. Aug 03 I think we all need to get home for a rest, there is plenty for all ages here, its a great base. July 04 - Had a lovely week, Villa is nice, location is fantastic, Beaches and Restaurants superb.

Terrific Toscamar

2 adults and 3 children, went out in July 08 and had a wonderful time. The villa has everything you need so if you forget to pack a beach towel dont panic. Lots of information about your surroundings are provided, and for the teenagers there is a telly there. Great family friendly safe location everything you need is on site including the local supermarket which provides beautiful fresh bread every day etc at inexpensive prices. The pool is great as are the life guards and staff at the bar. The little restaurant was changing owners ( and closed) as we were there so we cannot rate that. General location is fabulous too, its within easy walking ( 20-30 mins) distance of Javea town & beach which is great to get a bite to eat in the evening and covers the whole range of posh to pizza. In fact I would suggest you leave the car at the villa and walk down for the exercise, I wouldnt reccommend walking back however because there are a couple of points in the road where you could be at risk from the traffic. We took the bus back as they run so regularly and are clean and tidy, they also stop right outside the complex.
Due to the children we didnt venture out of the complex too much so cannot rate the local attractions, we did go to the coast for a walk and went rockpooling which again is walking distance from the villa. I would reccommend to anyone to go, simply because its a lovely place great for kids and great for adults.

This is a smashing little villa for family hols.
Toscamar complex is a couple of hundred yards down the road and provides facilities to service the rows of villas and apts inc.a restuarant, supermarket, bar, large pool and sunbathing facilities, tennis and sports facilities and is very secure with a 24hr reception office and security system via barrier with entry card for residents. A car would be recommended if you want to enjoy Javea as the complex is a way from town and stuff but parking is good.
Toscamar has obviously been well tried and tested for a long time and works well but parts of it are getting old and tired, although it seems extremely well maintained.
The 'villa' itself is a detached 2 bedroomed house plus bathroom and kitchen which are small but adequate.
It is old but has been immaculately renovated with every mod con, and is situated within the complex on a small hill and behind a short set of steps.The only outside sitting area unless you walk down to the pool is a small covered balcony by the doorway, there are gardens surrounding it but are a bit steep and inaccessible, we had some trouble finding any house numbers when we arrived on the complex .
We were well looked after by the agent, it is beautifully cleaned with all facilities inc. aircon, but the 'English tv' consisted of only bbc1 itv1 and ch5 plus kids and eurosport.
We will probably like to go there again if the price is kept reasonable, as our friends live round the corner.
Very very nice but not exciting.
