Photos and Description of this La Zenia holiday villa 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, air conditioned, south facing, genuinely prime location.

This south facing, air conditioned Spanish villa is situated in a small, gated, private square overlooking a large pool with shallow area for children. The property has typically Spanish wooden window shutters, iron work, tiled floors and marble stair case. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and fully fitted bathroom. Both bedrooms overlook the pool and are south facing. Downstairs has leather sofas, table and chairs, fitted kitchen, toilet with basin, Sky, new flat screen TV/DVD and CD. Two secluded south facing terraces look on to the pool. The property is in a quiet area, yet is a three minute stroll to bars, restaurants (Chinese, Italian, Indian, Mexican etc.), internet cafe, a classy gift shop, taxis and a supermarket with newspapers. Sandy La Zenia bay is 400 metres. The location of this authentic Spanish property is genuinely superb - and it faces south! (As at June 2009, of the 12 parties who visited June - Oct this year, 8 had been to this property before (excluding ourselves!)

  • The above rates include air conditioning (warm and cool) and further heat in winter if required.
    A deposit of £100 is required to hold the property, with the rental due 8 weeks before start date. The deposit is returned on receipt of key and report of no damage. Xmas and Easter are charged at £250 per week. A cleaning charge of 60 Euros per stay (or 75 Euros for parties of over four people) is payable to the caretaker at the end of your holiday. Thank you.

A couple of things about that 'Rain' condition.: I don't blame you for being sceptical. I'd be thinking 'How can we prove it rained?' 'Will they really pay?'. We did this last year. We paid about £70 back. It's not in our interest to con people. We want you to come again! As we all know, it can rain in Spain - but it's far more likely not to, so we don't think it's too much of a gamble on our part. Not that we will automatically take your word for it that it rained (with greatest respect). We would ask the caretaker who lives locally. We hope to hear from you. Chris and Dave

Our summer holiday in La Zenia

A lovely property in a quiet location. Despite going at the height of the season, it did not feel too busy in the pool or in the town.
The villa was beautifully clean, very well equipped and well maintained. The owners were extremely helpful both before and during the holiday answering my queries.
The beaches were busy in August but there were several coves to choose from all within walking distance. We really enjoyed the coastal walks, especially in the evenings when it was cooler. Temperatures were around 35 degrees most days...hot! Good to have fans in the bedrooms.
My mum doesn't enjoy eating out much, so it was wonderful to have an excellent supermarket a couple of minutes away!
We all enjoyed our stay in La Zenia very much. That includes my 83 year old mum who swam in the warm pool every day and 2 teenage girls who divided their time between the pool and the sea. Fantastic having the pool open until midnight!

Holiday in La Zenia...

This was my second stay at the house and my boyfriend's first. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and didn't want to go home!
I thought the area was perfect, quiet but not too quiet and the perfect distance from the beach. There was great choice in restaurants, we got to try somewhere different every night. Our favourites were La Mirada by the beach and Alejandros just next to the house (so convenient!). It also really helped that there was a huge supermarket so close by so if we needed anything it was there.
As we went in June, it was very quiet and we often got the pool to ourselves, which was great.

As for the house, it was brilliant. We had everything we needed and the balcony was lovely.

My second visit to Pueblo Albero in as many years, and another faultless stay! The house was clean and comfortable again, the pool equally as well maintained. It's lovely to have the choice between the pool and the beautiful sandy beaches which are just a 5 minute walk away. Thank you again for a fantastic, relaxing holiday. I can't wiat to go back in September!!

Excellent property and location.

This property is in an ideal location if you don't want to drive. It is a short walk to the beach or if you just want to relax, the pool is right outside the door if you want to keep an eye on the kids and you can sunbathe in the lovely garden. Although the property is in the heart of La Zenia with several retaurants and bars, there was very little noise. The house had everything you could want or need for your holiday right down to hairdryer, beach toys, cool box and chairs for the beach. I was there in April and wanted to book again for August but it was booked out, so if you want to book this property don't hesitate! Dave the owner was extremely helpful and answered any questions promptly and made the whole process very smooth. Thanks to Dave. I will book in plenty of time for next year! Thanks Caren (Cork).

We really enjoyed our stay.

The villa is exceptionally clean and well maintained and has everything you could need for self catering. There's a big supermarket right opposite that sells everthing you could need, including neccessities for small children and vegetarians! The restaurant next to the complex gates also does a wide range of excellent food. The owner provided great customer service and responded very quickly to any queries.

La Zenia itself is very English but it means you can settle in very quickly for a short break and it's a great base for exploring the local area; we found some lovely quiet beaches within a 10 minute drive, and would recommend a trip to the long sheltered beach of Los Alcazares which you can cycle along (30 mins drive away) and Cartagena (1hrs drive away) which has a roman ampitheatre and lots of interesting history, architecture and a very pleasant harbour front.

We stayed for 5 days in early November, which was an ideal time for small children; sunny but not too hot, and out of season enough to have some of the beaches to ourself.
