Villa Picasso is blessed with a spectacular panoramic view from its main living and dining areas. It is set in the exclusive Pla del Mar residential community and overlooks the port, marina and bay immediately beneath it, and mountains in the distance. The villa's other main advantage is its location: a pleasant 500m walk from Moraira's shops, bars, restaurants on one side, and Portet beach on the other. It sits in a pine-shaded landscaped garden, 900sqm, with 2 pergolas, 1 large garden dining terrace, an enormous BBQ, its own private unshaded pool & pool terrace with sun loungers. It also has a large shaded balcony/naya furnished for lounging and dining (with the view as a background). The villa is comfortably furnished, detached and secluded: distance and foliage ensures privacy. It is modern in design: all accommodation is on one level, which gives the effect of opening up the villa to the garden/pool. The kitchen gives onto the garden dining terrace.

A must see - Moors and Christians in Moraira from 18th June to 21st June 2009. Moraira is one of the few places left in Spain where you can enjoy true village life near the sea. It is full of character, cute, and brimming with soul: the 'fiestas' (festivities) are spectacular, the market is joyful, the fishing port and marina are gorgeous, the village square is welcoming night and day, the beaches are clean, the air is fresh and the fish is often still moving by the time you pass by its fishmonger displays. All of this is available to you on foot, from Villa Picasso. Although you can easily travel to and from it, Moraira is not actually on the way to anywhere: it lays at the foot of its own beautiful green valley and nestles in its own bay, sheltered by its own high rock. The Spanish are proud of Moraira, and very protective too: a building restriction forbids the construction of high rise blocks will and ensures Moraira never fall prey to its own success.

  • INCLUDED in weekly price: 7 nights from Saturday arrival at 4pm to 10am the Saturday of your departure, for up to eight people (+ baby); customer welcome and 24hr management standby; welcome pack; full cleaning between lets; weekly bed and bath linen; utilities; garden & pool servicing.
    A SECURITY DEPOSIT of £160 (200 euros) is required with final payment (8weeks prior) this will be returned to you within 2 weeks after departure less any damage. See terms and conditions with Booking form
  • NOT INCLUDED in weekly price: beach towels; air-conditioning £70 (90 euros) with payment or on arrival); baby equipment (available for rental); car hire; flight; airport transfer; the cost of collecting any items left at the villa (kept securely by us until the end of year); the costs of any loss (i.e. keys) or damage to the property during your stay; travel / health / accident / loss / cancellation insurance (recommended).

Notes: Elderly people should be aware that the entrance to the property has stairs, as does the access to the pool. The villa has 2 pergolas, 1 large garden terrace for BBQ/dining and a shaded balcony, also equipped for dining. There are two tennis grounds in the Pla del Mar residential compound, reserved for use by residents only. Internet access is available from a local hotspot at the Moraira Marina - pay as you go. If your laptop has Wifi capabilities you should be able to get it from the villa. See www. ahoranet.com for prices. Used at your own risk. Mobile Phones: We have supplied 2 spanish “pay-as-you-go” mobile phones for use by guests. Very useful and cheaper to keep in touch with kids or friends whilst here on holiday rather than using your expensive UK mobiles. The numbers for the villa managements and each phone will be automatically programmed onto both phones. All we ask is that you keep topped up with 10 euros.

Things to do locally:: Due to the villa's superb location, a car is not essential to make the most of the town's amenities and beaches. Moraira has 2 sandy beaches both awarded the European blue flag for cleanliness. El Portet (approx 10 mins walk) has just been modernised with new palm trees and walkways. L'Ampolla Beach is approx 10-15 mins walk the other way. The town is full of colourful new shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pocket size. In the summer months evening craft markets line the streets well into the night. There are several good supermarkets and a couple of night clubs and internet cafés. Moraira and its neighbouring towns hold many fiestas over summer, as well as facilities for all water sports (jet ski, pedalo, etc), boat hire/trips and horse-riding. The whole area is ideal for those who enjoy walking, cycling or climbing. There are two tennis courts a short walk away from the villa, reserved for the exclusive use of Pla del Mar residents.

Also:: Flea markets and wine tasting in the Jalon Valley are recommended. So is driving inland to the picturesque Guadalest, La Sella, the Vergal Safari Park near Denia or Europe's largest palm forest at Elche, for breathtaking views. DVD's and books can be rented easily, a short walk away. For children (when not at the pool): there is a permanent fairground in town with many children's attractions, open daily till late during most of the year. Attractions like: Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar sea life park in Benidorm, a half hour drive away. There is an international go-karting track 5 minutes' drive away, suitable for all levels. The marina offers stunning yachts to look at and fish to feed.

Golf facilities:: The nearest nine hole golf course is a 5 minutes drive away, but there are 8 other courses within an hour's drive from the villa (Club de Golf Ifach, Moraira, 7 kms: 9 holes; Club de Golf Javéa, Javéa, 8 kms: 9 holes; Club de Golf La Sella, Denia, 20 kms: 18 holes; Club de Golf Don Cayo, Altea, 20 kms: 9 holes; Club de Golf Oliva, Oliva, 35 kms: 18 holes; Club de Golf Bonalba, Muchamiel 70 kms: 18 holes; Club de Golf San Juan, San Juan, 70 kms: 18 holes; Club de Golf El Saler, Valencia 100 kms: 18 holes).
