Things to do:
The town and marina are attractive, clean and compact and are great places for relaxed strolling offering many outdoor places to sit and people-watch.
In the evenings there's street market in the town and street entertainers plus a nearby funfair each Summer evening.
There are plenty of supermarkets, banks, pharmacies plus a couple of Internet cafés and other shops and boutiques.
In striking distance there is the Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar sea life park.
For the sporting types, the nearest nine-hole golf course is 5 minutes away and there are eight other courses within an hour's drive.
There is a tennis club in Moraira.
There are several aqua-clubs, including a PADI centre, yachting and wind-surfing school. Water bikes, pedaloes etc. are all available for rent in the town centre and on the beach.
For petrol-heads, an international Go-Karting track is on the way to Teulada and this is suitable for all ages and levels
Wining & Dining:
There's no shortage of places to eat and drink in the area. Somewhere for every taste and pocket; from 2-star Michelin Guide restaurants to rustic establishments in the hills towards the Jalón Valley where you can dine famously with the locals for less than the price of a round of drinks at home.
There are several bars in and outside the town, many offering live music, plus there's a couple of night clubs in the area.
The neighbouring towns of Teulada, Calpe, Altea, Javea and Denia all provide other alternatives for wining and dining if you should want to try them.
Further afield, Benidorm is not at all what it used to be and has done much to improve its image, reputation and facilities in recent years and should be visited if you can spare the time.
Evenings in:
Self-catering means self-catering, and for those evenings when you simply want to chill out at home then there's nothing better than a barbie and a glass or two of vino.
Alternatively, if you prefer the kitchen, then all the necessities are to hand to rustle up some haute cuisine if you're able.
Afterwards, take a relaxing drink on the naja listening to the sounds of Spain and watching the lights of the town, the coastline and the ships passing in the night.
For the indoor-types, there's a selection of CDs, tapes and DVDs plus the satellite TV on which the following programmes can be received in addition to the normal Spanish free-to-air channels:
