Luxury Four Bed Villa with Private Pool

This luxury detached four bedroom villa is situated in the sought after area of La Sabatera in Moraira, just 1.5 km away from the sea, and has been furnished to the highest standards. Outside of the villa there is a large naya, an inviting pool with roman steps, an outside shower, a summer kitchen with barbeque, landscaped gardens, extensive sun terraces and plenty of off road parking. The inside accommodation is on two levels with on the ground level a spacious lounge and dining area leading into a well equipped American kitchen and two luxuriously fitted ensuite bedrooms at either end of the villa. On the upper level, which is accessed via a staircase, there are two further double bedrooms with a family bathroom (with wet room), a large circular lounge and a large balcony area which has a see-through glass perimeter. The whole villa is fitted with air conditioning, central heating and a security system so all comforts are catered for and the relaxing lifestyle can be indulged!

Moraira is ideally situated between a coast with both sandy beaches and rocky coves, and the mountains of the Marina Alta. The climate is ideal both for holidays and all-the-year-round living. The World Health Organisation has identified the northern Costa Blanca as having as near to an ideal climate as possible, being neither overwhelmingly hot in summer nor unpleasantly cold in winter. Average temperatures range from the mid-eighties (26-29C) in the high season to the low sixties (15C) in the middle of winter, and even in winter the average number of rainy days is around only five per month. In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet pleasant resort, which can perhaps best be summarised by what it doesn't have. There are no high-rises, no large hotels, no package tours, and no large and noisy nightclubs. It is a small yet busy town with many shops, restaurants and bars, surrounded by whitewashed villas nestling on the tree-covered hillsides.

Moraira

Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada, situated about four miles inland. In earlier times the centres of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders - Romans, Moors, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the Castle are reminders of the past.Moraira has four beaches, each very different in character from the others. The beach of El Portet is the northernmost of these, being situated at the end of a sheltered shell-shaped bay, quiet with clear water and a gently sloping seabed, being ideal and safe for swimming. The town beach is a large sandy beach with a play area and restaurants. Platgetes is quieter and partly sand/partly rock; and L'Andrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkeling. Both to the north and south of Moraira there are many secluded bays and coves well worth exploring.

Fiesta & Leisure Activities

This region of Spain is famous for its colourful festivals or fiestas. These take place throughout the year, but probably the most well known is the Moros Y Chistianos held in July, celebrating the reconquest by the Christians of Moslem-ruled Spain. Watersports that can be enjoyed include swimming, snorkeling, scuba-diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, and for the less energetic, sunbathing. The three main beaches are all European blue flagged, and zoned and lifeguarded so that various activities can be enjoyed safely. Other sports include walking, climbing, cycling and horse-riding.

Golfing Information

Within 10 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres and is easy to play and relatively flat. The Olazabal designed La Sella Golf Course is 15 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles and presents a very good challenge. Within 40 minutes drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. This testing course has 18 holes, is par 72 and 7,051 metres. Going south overlooking Benidorm you have the two new Real de Faula championship courses which are very highly recommended - one par 72 championship and one par 62 eighteen hole tester!
