Los Dias is a superior detached, well equipped villa in secluded walled grounds with sea and mountain views. Both the upper and lower levels of the villa each provide individual self-contained apartments, ideal for a large family or friends wishing to holiday together. Either the whole villa is available to sleep 8 guests or just the lower level apartment is available to sleep 4 people (whilst the upper level remains unoccupied for your privacy). Please note that the upper and lower levels are not connected internally. Los Dias is located in a peaceful, sought-after location within a surrounding residential area and is a 5 minute drive to Moraira's sandy beaches, shops, restaurants, pretty marina and Friday morning market. The villa boasts well maintained, mature gardens, a poolside terrace, summer BBQ area and a private 8 x 4 metre swimming pool. All rooms benefit from retractable mosquito blinds and roller blinds. An additional Z-bed for a 9th child can be placed in the lounge.

Los Dias is a comfortable, well equipped bright superior quality property set back 1.5 miles, 5 minutes by car, from Moraira's town and beaches. Moraira is situated in the North of the Alicante province on the Costa Blanca - the East coast of Spain. Approx 1 hours drive from Alicante airport and a further 20 minutes to Valencia airport. The development in the area is mostly privately-owned villas with no holiday package hotels whatsoever. Nearly all the properties are owned by Northern Europeans either as retirement or holiday homes and are spread over quite a substantial area. Not far inland the area is dominated by rugged mountains, cut by deep valleys and fertile plains which provide an impressive backdrop to the coastal landscape. Benidorm is around a 30 minute drive away where you will find great activities for the children, including Aqualandia Water Park, Terramitica (Spain's answer to Disneyland) and Mundomar (sea world).

About Moraira....: Once a sleepy fishing village, Moraira has grown into a small yet charming and picturesque town and yet due to strict planning laws is still very pretty and not over-developed. The main hub of life is beside the pretty yacht marina offering a good selection of restaurants and bars where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. A charming square still retains much of the original character and atmosphere and is home to the local church. There are restaurants, bars and several interesting shops lining the narrow cobbled streets. In the high season, the town comes alive in the evenings with locals and visitors alike.

The beach....: This little town also has its own popular wide, gently-shelving sandy beach with shallow waters and a smaller beach in the adjacent hamlet of El Portet. Both beaches were awarded the prestigious EEC Blue Flags for cleanliness and are safe for family bathing, both are also served by beach bars and restaurants which serve drinks, snacks and main meals. It is also well worth exploring the many other coves and bays along the coast with sand or sand/rock beaches.

The area...: Moraira is situated at the end of a long valley. The surrounding pine-clad foothills provide both shelter from the winter weather from the north and a natural vortex for cooling summer sea breezes. Moraira’s perfect orientation provides the majority of its properties with a southerly downhill view towards the sea. The development in the area is mostly detached privately-owned villas with very few holiday apartments and no holiday package hotels whatsoever and therefore accommodation is virtually limited to privately-owned villas. Nearly all the properties are owned by Northern Europeans either as retirement or holiday homes and are spread over quite a substantial area. The well-spaced villa development does mean that a car is a necessity in most areas.

Golf: There are upwards of 12 golf courses on the Costa Blanca and 4 within easy reach of Moraira. All are affiliated to the Spanish Federation and consequently can validate members handicap internationally. All have golf clubs for hire and most, if not all can provide coaching. CLUB DE GOLF ‘IFACH’ No of Holes: 9 Par: 60. The Club de Golf Ifach course is situated on the coast road between Moraira and Calpe on the San Jaime Urbanisation in Benissa, hence surrounding views of the most prestigious properties in the area, set in a beautiful fertile valley with distant scenes of Calpe’s D’Ifach rock and sparkling blue Mediterranean sea. CLUB DE GOLF JAVEA No of Holes: 9 Par: 72. Situated between Moraira and Javea, this all year course is slightly longer and quite flat, easier to play and not so tiring in the hot summer sun. It has been attractively landscaped around the greens and also benefits from a putting green, driving range, club bar and restaurant, heated swimming pool, tennis and squash courts. CLUB DE GOLF LA SELLA - No of Holes: 18, Par: 72. On the back-road between Javea and Denia, situated inland near the area of Jesus Pobre, this course was opened in 1991 and designed to use ‘all the clubs in the bag’. Although almost totally flat it has many trees and water obstacles (canals and lakes which provide the irrigation).

Los Dias, Moraira

Los Dias is a really lovely villa. You feel very private, but without being totally isolated. The description was accurate, and in fact, we felt that the villa and the location were even better than we had expected. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the pool and the outdoor living area is fantastic.

I can see why people might say it is suitable for two couples, but we also found it great for a small family. The pool is a great size and the short drive down the valley to the beach at El Portet was a real bonus.

Unlike many villas, there was everything we needed to produce great food from the local produce. We spent some wonderful evenings on the naya watching night fall over the valley and on one occasion watching the most amazing thunder storm work its way up the valley towards us from the sea. (Needless to say, the sun was dutifully shining again in the morning!)

We were also very impressed with the area – we’d never been before and it is much prettier and greener than we had imagined. The local people were extremely friendly and obviously take a great pride in their area.

Finally a word about Lemon Tree Villas – the whole experience has been great, with quick and helpful responses from Hazel to even the strangest questions. The ideal combination: friendly and efficient.

We had a really wonderful holiday at Los Dias and hope we will be able to return.

A lovely restful holiday

We had a fantastic time here. The villa had everything we needed and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated when we arrived and all the shops were shut. (Sat eve). The pool was large and clean and our children 11 and 8 spent lots of time with their inflatables in the pool.
The beach was just a short ride by car away and the supermarket was just down the road. We would go back to this villa and recommend the villa to friends.

The villa apartment was exactly as described, and was very clean and well maintained. It was in a very quiet cul-d-sac and the instructions of how to find it were excellent. The outside BBQ area was brilliant with added bonus of a griddle and with it being run by gas rather than charcoal it was easy to maintain. We have been staying in villas for 25 years and this villa was ideal for 2 couples to have a very relaxing, quiet holiday.

A Great Getaway

We have never been to the same place on holiday more than once before until we stayed at Los Dias in 2007. We have never had a more relaxed holiday in such a beautiful location and going for a second time this year did not disappoint.The accommodation is situated amongst the hills a few miles from Moraira and although there are other villas nearby Los Dias is quite secluded. The villa itself is clean and well looked after as is the pool and outside cooking area. The steps down to the villa from the road may make it unsuitable for disabled or elderly people but otherwise this only adds to the seclusion and quiteness of the accommodation. The local people friendly and helpful and the supermarkets nearby are reasonably priced. The kids will enjoy looking out for the ghekos that come out at night and adults will apprieciate the peace and quite that the location offers.
Moraira is situated about an hour from Benidorm in the South and also Valencia in the north and takes about 1.5 hours on the motorway from Alicante airport.
There is only one thing wrong with Los Dias - its not ours!!!!!!!!!
