Monte Pego, established now for 25 years is considered to be one of the most beautiful, rural and exclusive residential communities in the Costa Blanca North. Denia

The nearest town Denia is a delightful, cosmopolitan town, rich in history and culture. The town's focal point is the 16th century castle, which dominates the town from a height of 58m. Shopping in Denia is located in the main central street, Calle Marques de Campo. This is a wonderful place to sit and relax in the many cafes which occupy this Parisian-style tree lined avenue. As well as offering the high street essentials, there are some exquisite boutiques and gift shops. A multitude of restaurants offers some of the best regional and international cuisine. Denia is right on the coast and the 20 km of beaches are of very high quality with great water sports such as windsurfing. Every year the beaches are awarded the European Blue Flag for their water quality and clean fine sand.

Leisure Activities

At night Denia buzzes with nightlife, not necessarily discos but more with the hundreds of bars, live entertainment and restaurants, many of which are right on the sea front. There is charm and atmosphere. There are regular local fiestas when the town bursts into a riot of music, fireworks and spectacular street parades. There's the busy seafront, with its many bars and nightlife, and the bustling fishing and ferry port, where you can catch a boat to any of the Balearic Islands. The villa is within a 30 minute drive of Terra Mittica Theme Park and Aqualandia water park at Benidorm - two great days out for all the family. The El Verger wildlife Park is within a 5 minute drive of the villa. The terrain of the Montgo and Jalon valleys provide the perfect environment for mountain biking and walking. The stunning waterfalls at the Fonts d'Algar are a 30 minute drive away. Valencia is an hour away by car or an hour and half by train from Gandia (30 minutes by car).

Golfing Activities

Within 20 minutes drive of the villa is the Club de Golf Oliva Nova 18-hole course which was designed by the Spanish Golfing legend Severiano Ballesteros and is widely considered his best design to date. It’s a links course, set right beside the Mediterranean, 6,270 metres in length off the white tees and a par of 72 (SSS 73), The club also has a comprehensive driving range, pitch and putt area and a practice putting green. The Olazabal designed La Sella Golf Course, in between Denia and Javea, is only 25 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles and presents a very good challenge. The new championship Nicklaus designed courses of Real de Faula overlooking Benidorm and the 9 hole spectacular Don Cayo course at Altea will also provide good tests for golfers of all.
