The well established area of Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca is very sort after by holiday makers coming to the area. A new commercial centre has recently been completed on the outskirts of Playa Flemenca and offers a full itenery of entertainment for all ages. The lovely little beaches and coves along this part of the coast are wonderful for walkers. A new cliff / coastal walk has just been completed from Punta Prima to Capo Roig. The town of Torrevieja with its nightlife and lovely marina is still a fishing town but nowadays provides much more for visitors to the area. The lovely Spanish bars and restaurants are worth a visit and provide authentic foods from the area.

Local area
Torrevieja is a bustling town based on an old fishing village. It has all the amenities needed for eating, drinking, shopping & generally having fun in the sun! The villa has it’s own private roof solarium. There is also a communal pool area for residents & guests only. Within 5 minutes drive is the lovely beach of la Zenia beach with the quiet Campoamor beach a further 5 minutes drive away. The apartment is within 1 Km of the N332 road at the Southern end of Torrevieja. Several supermarkets are only 5 minutes drive away. There is a large hypermarket less than 10 minutes drive away. The water park in Torrevieja is a favourite attraction for families & younger visitors. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages. A couple of small supermarkets are also walking distance with larger hypermarkets 10 minutes drive away.
The Costa Blanca
The 'white coast' is famous for its wonderful climate, all year round. Even the Spanish claim that local inhabitants live up to 10 years longer than in the rest of Spain! It is named after the wonderful almond blossom that is the first of the year and is a beautiful sight in January through to March Facilities have improved dramatically in the last few years, particularly with the addition of motorway routes directly into the area & the growth of excellent, all-year round, golf clubs. Anyone who is looking to buy a property in the area should let me know at time of booking as I can arrange for an inspection of properties (new or resale) during your stay, through an English speaking local company, at no extra cost!
Information for golfers
Close by is the Villamartin Championship Golf Course, which has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers to make it a challenging course for players of all abilities. If that was not enough to tempt the golfers, within 5 mins drive there are two more! Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most challenging. High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly in this memorable course. Finally we have Campoamor, which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day! It is important to note that no handicap is required to play these courses.For the hard to please a 30 min drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort with three 18-hole courses to choose from. It is important to bring your handicap card(just in case) as well as plenty of sunscreen. What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!
