The southern end of the Costa Blanca is one of the finest areas for holidaying in Spain. Torrevieja is a bustling town on the coast 40 minutes' drive South of Alicante and its international airport. The water park is a favourite attraction for younger visitors. Torrevieja can also be reached using the new motorway from Murcia airport, which has good flight connections from the UK. Villa Martin is a much sought after area because of its proximity to many beautiful, local golf courses & being close to the blue Mediterranean Sea. Its famous plaza with resident parrots are a firm favourite with visitors. The coast offers numerous white sandy beaches & a wonderful cliff walk just completed between Punta Prima and Cabo Roig. Close by, the village of San Miguel de Salinas offers a touch of real Spain with its Wednesday market & wonderful eating places. La Manga sports complex on the Mar Menor inland sea is a short drive away, passing through many lovely Spanish villages on the way.

Notes to the rental rates

  • 25% non returnable deposit at time of booking. Balance 6 weeks before departure date. €60 local management charge payable on arrival. Includes meet & greet service at villa, towels, cleaning (at the end of your stay) & handover of keys. Please note that guests are asked to leave at 10am on the day of departure in July & August or when advised there is a same day booking.
  • €150 breakage deposit, refundable when leaving. We can arrange airport transfers for your party at extra cost. Food packs available for awkward arrival times (extra cost). Cots for toddlers are also available at a small extra charge. Discount for long term winter lets. Please note there is a supplementary charge for air-conditioning from June to September (inc) of €30 per week.
  • Please note that during peak season (July & August), only Saturday to Saturday bookings are accepted. Bathroom towels are provided but please bring your own beach / pool towels. This property has a maximum occupancy as shown on the front page of the advertisement. In the event of this number being exceeded, either a pro rata charge will be made or the extra person (people) may be asked to leave immediately. This decision will be entirely at the owner’s discretion. Please note that this is a non smoking villa and smoking guests will be charged for extra cleaning at the end of their stay.

This lovely villa has been very tastefully furnished and has air conditioning in the lounge and both bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own private balcony and there is a roof solarium for more private sun bathing if you do not want to sit around the swimming pool. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area with detached villas opposite but with bars and restaurants a short walk away. We can offer an airport transfer if guests do not want the expense of hiring a car. Just chill out and enjoy the lovely weather in Spain and your own private pool!! Or for a taste of real Spain a short trip through orange and lemon groves will take you to the little village of San Miguel de Saiinas where you can test your language skills and visit a lively market on Wednesday. Here you will also find some lovely Spanish restaurants who offer a very reasonable 'menu of the day ' (menu del dia)

The Costa Blanca

The 'white coast' is famous for its wonderful climate, all year round. Even the Spanish claim that local inhabitants live up to 10 years longer than in the rest of Spain! It is named after the wonderful almond blossom that is the first of the year and is a beautiful sight in January through to March. Facilities have improved dramatically in the last few years, particularly with the addition of motorway routes directly into the area & the growth of excellent, all-year round, golf clubs.

The Local Area

The wonderful plaza at Villa Martin is walking distance from the villa and is renowned for its resident parrots but more importantly for the abundance of good eating and drinking places. Within 10 minutes drive from the villa is the lovely beach of Campoamor with the quiet beaches of la Zenia & Cabo Roig a further 5 minutes drive away. The villa is within 2 Km of the N332 road at the Southern end of Torrevieja. Several supermarkets are only 5 minutes walk away. There is a large hypermarket (Carrefour) less than 15 minutes drive away. The water park in Torrevieja is a favourite attraction for families & younger visitors. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages. A little further afield the renowned resort of Benidorm is well worth a visit as there are lots of places of interest for the tourist.

Information for Golfers

Close by is the Villamartin Championship Golf Course, which has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers to make it a challenging course for players of all abilities. If that was not enough to tempt the golfers, within 5 mins drive there are two more! Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most challenging. High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly in this memorable course. Finally we have Campoamor, which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day! It is important to know that no handicap is required for these local courses. For the hard to please a 30 min drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort with three 18-hole courses to choose from. So bring your handicap card (just in case)as well as plenty of sunscreen. What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!
