San Miguel de Salinas holiday villa: San Miguel De Salinas

We were a group of 8 graduates wanting to get away for a relaxing week together- Casa Largo gave us exactly that. This is the type of place that you drive into- shut the gates behind you and not leave until the airport beckons. The villa interior is finished to the highest standard (a personal highlight was the £1500 ice machine) and the outside area was also impressive- outside kitchen with a charcoal BBQ, large pool, jacuzzi with plenty of space.
On arrival (2pm), the house had not been cleaned and we were encouraged not to enter the villa, so we went to a bar 5min drive away to wait. When we came back - the interior and most of the exterior was clean and inviting. The villa has a sun terrace that gets the evening sun however this had not been cleaned so we did that (10min job).
A car is an absolute must for this property- the supermarkets and beaches are a drive away and the local area offers very little within walking distance. The surrounding small towns are very "Ex-Pat" with almost nothing authentically Spanish and subsequently eating out is something to avoid. As such, in our week- we went to the beach twice (which was lovely), ate out once in the only 1/2 decent restaurant and spent the rest of the time in the villa- but why leave? Cooking on the BBQ was a joy, eating on the terrace was tranquil and ending up in the jacuzzi with a bottle of bubbly was inevitable. In summary:
