Fabulous detached villa with private pool in a nice residential area..

31 Peña Vieja (Zodiaco IV) El Gallan (close to Villamartin). This wonderful detached villa has been incredibly successful and guests who came last year are returning again. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could need. It has a tastefully laid out garden with a larger than usual swimming pool and is set in a quiet residential area but only 5 minute's drive from the beautiful beaches at la Zenia & Campoamor. It is directly behind the three championship golf courses of Villa Martin, Campoamor & las Ramblas. With bars, restaurants and a supermarket all within walking distance it would not be necessary to have a car if you wanted to just enjoy the local area. The villa has a secure parking area inside the garden and accessed through lovely Spanish arches. It is in a road of similar villas all offering privacy in this lovely area. A good English TV package has been installed if you want to stay at home !!!

The southern end of the Costa Blanca is one of the finest areas for holidaying in Spain. Torrevieja is a bustling town on the coast 40 minutes' drive South of Alicante and its international airport. The water park is a favourite attraction for younger visitors. Torrevieja can also be reached using the new motorway from Murcia airport which has good flight connections from the UK. Villa Martin is a much sought after area because of its proximity to many beautiful, local golf courses & being close to the blue Mediterranean sea. It's famous plaza with resident parrots are a firm favourite with locals & visitors alike. The coast offers a wonderful cliff walk just completed between Punta Prima and Cabo Roig. Close by, the village of San Miguel de Salinas offers a touch of real Spain with its Wednesday market & wonderful eating places. La Manga sports complex on the Mar Menor inland sea is a short drive away, passing through many lovely Spanish villages on the way.

    25% non-returnable deposit at time of booking. Balance 6 weeks before departure date.
    €90 local management charge payable on arrival. Includes meet & greet service at apartment, towels, cleaning (at the end of your stay) & handover of keys. Please note that guests are asked to leave at 10am on the day of departure with same day bookings.
  • €250 breakage deposit (£150 for UK guests, payable with balance payment), refundable within 2 weeks of the end of the stay. Can arrange airport transfers (extra cost). Food packs available for awkward arrival times (extra cost). Electricity and water are included in the rental rates
    Cots for toddlers are also available at a small extra charge. Discount for long-term winter lets.

The villa is furnished to a very high standard, a well-equipped kitchen, toaster, kettle, iron & ironing board and a juicer so that you can purchase the cheap oranges in the market while you are here and start your breakfast the healthy way !!Please note that there is no air conditioning in this villa but ceiling fans have been installed in the master bedroom and lounge also free standing fans for the really hot weather. Sun loungers and a lovely built in BBQ are provided but we ask that you bring your own towels for use outside. The pool will be cleaned regularly during your stay. The Sky package installed in this villa has 22 channels including BBC. Bring your favourite disks for the DVD player. This villa is fitted with an alarm system for your security. The balcony on the back is great for late afternoon sun additional loungers are provided. Just chill out and enjoy the lovely weather in Spain and your own private pool!!

Information for golfers

Close by is the Villamartin Championship Golf Course, which has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers to make it a challenging course for players of all abilities. If that was not enough to tempt the golfers, within 5 mins drive there are two more! Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most challenging. High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly in this memorable course. Finally we have Campoamor, which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day! It is important to know that no handicap is required for these local courses.For the hard to please a 30 min drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort with three 18-hole courses to choose from. So bring your handicap card (just in case)as well as plenty of sunscreen. What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!

Local Area

Torrevieja is a bustling town based on an old fishing village. It has all the amenities needed for eating, drinking, shopping & generally having fun in the sun! Within 5 minutes drive from the villa is the lovely beach of Campoamor with the quiet beaches of la Zenia & Cabo Roig a further 5 minutes drive away. The villa is within 2 Km of the N332 road at the Southern end of Torrevieja. Several supermarkets are only 5 minutes walk away. There is a large hypermarket (Carrefour) less than 15 minutes drive away. The water park in Torrevieja is a favourite attraction for families & younger visitors. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages. A little further afield the renowned resort of Benidorm is well worth a visit as there are lots of places of interest for the tourist.

Costa Blanca

The 'white coast' is famous for its wonderful climate, all year round. Even the Spanish claim that local inhabitants live up to 10 years longer than in the rest of Spain! It is named after the wonderful almond blossom that is the first of the year and is a beautiful sight in January through to March. Facilities have improved dramatically in the last few years, particularly with the addition of motorway routes directly into the area & the growth of excellent, all-year round, golf clubs. Anyone who is looking to buy a property in the area should let me know at time of booking as I can arrange for an inspection of properties (new or resale) during your stay, through an English speaking local company, at no extra cost!
