This attractive, tastefully furnished, air conditioned two storey quarter detached house with lounge/kitchen/3 bedrooms, (all with ceiling fans) 2 bathrooms and 2 terraces. Superbly located for families/golfers alike, with four top class golf courses within a 5-10 minute drive. In a quiet area yet close to all amenities, the villa is on a quiet street, away from the road, so is particularly safe for children. Many superb beaches are found within the surrounding area -a five minute drive takes you to the closest blue flag beaches of La Zenia and Cabo Roig. Villamartin Plaza with its restaurants, bars and shops is only a 10 minute walk away. Whilst a 10 minute drive south takes you to San Pedro and Torre de Horadada. If you choose to spend most of your holiday in the immediate area, there are many nearby beaches, restaurants, tourist shops and supermarkets. Or a short drive north along the canal road inland to the mountain village of San Miguel to browse the popular local market.

Villamartin is an attractive urbanisation of individual private villas and apartments interspersed with shopping areas, bars and restaurants. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area of Villamartin, a short stroll from the shared swimming pool. Villamartin Paza with a supermarket, shopping area with a chemist, doctors and newsagent, restaurants and bars - all within walking distance. The Villamartin Golf Club and Course is also located here, and has a swimming pool and tennis courts, which can be used for a small charge. A ten minute drive to the coast takes you to the closest blue flag beach of La Zenia/Cabo Roig which have sunbeds, lifeguard and beach sport facilities. There are many other beaches along the coastal road within a twenty minute drive. Inland up the canal side road is the small Spanish town of San Miguel which has a great market on Wednesdays. Further inland is the historical town of Orihuela and the hot springs at Fortuna.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non re-fundable deposit of £100 per week is required to secure your booking with the balance being due eight weeks before departure by cheque. Shorter breaks are welcome at a pro rata rate-we will give you a price on request.
  • The prices quoted above are per week and not per person, and include full use of the pool, electricity, water and laundry. Please bring your own beach towels.
    Please note that on arrival you will be met, welcomed and given the keys to our villa, by Doug and Kerry who look after our property in Spain. They will also sort out any problems you may have whilst staying in the villa and live just a few miles away from our property. Also at this time 150 euros needs to be given to Doug and Kerry - 100 euros of this will be returned to you at the end of your holiday when you return the keys and the other 60 euros is non-returnable and is for the cleaning and linen used.
    Normal check out is by 10.00am and arrival after 13.00pm although other times can be arranged subject to availability.

Notes: The villa is newly built and is equipped with furniture and fittings. We have tried to maintain a modern but home from home feel in all the rooms whilst still maintaining a Spanish flavour. Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring beach towels. For the convenience of all guests, please note that it is non-smoking home inside the house but there is room to smoke on the downstairs and upstairs outside terraces. The accommodation is air conditioned, fully alarmed and grilles have been added to all downstairs windows and the upstairs door for your safety. In the lounge area there is Free view digital TV with 30 channels including BBC,ITV/C4. There is a full roof top solarium, (ideal for barbecues), with plenty of sun chairs and sun loungers, which is very private and gets the sun throughout the day. Guests also have full use of an attractive shared communal pool, a short stroll along the street, with a shallow area for young children.

Climate and health.: There are very few rainy days between November and March, during which time you can expect blue skies and temperatures in the low to mid 20's ( tee shirts and shorts weather!). According to the World Health Organisation this area of the Costa Blanca has got the healthiest climate in Europe. All year round a great place to spend the day is at Lo Pogon where there is the largest open-air mudbath in Europe. These baths known as Las Charcas de las Salinas are famous for curing rheumatic ailments. In the spring and summer months the days are consistently hot and sunny with the occasional welcome cloudy day. Places to visit We have explored the local area extensively and you will find a detailed file in the lounge of the villa with lots of ideas for day trips, places to visit, walks, maps and recommendations for local and further afield restaurants. This is a an area of great contrasts- beaches- mountains, unspoilt spanish villages, large cities, national parks- built up tourist areas.

Golf: Golf Courses There are 3 superb golf courses nearby.1 Villamartin Golf Club is within walking distance. It is a par 72 course, opened in 1972, it hosted in 1984 the Mediterranean Open and the Spanish Open in Jan 2000. This is a classic, world-famous championship golf course. A ‘must play’ course. 2. Campoamar Golf Club. It is Par 72, opened in 1989. It is extremely popular. 3. Las Ramblas Golf Club. It is Par 72, opened in 1991. This is arguably more spectacular than VillaMartin. There are also another six golf clubs within a 10-20 minute drive such as La Marquesa and La Finca. The famous course at La Manga is approximately a 30 minute drive south.
