Villamartin:
The central Plaza of Villamartin has numerous bars and a large selection of restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, such as Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Swedish, German and English and is on two tiers with a beautiful courtyard in the centre. The Plaza also has a small supermarket, a bank, a chemist, a doctors, gift shop, etc. Two larger well-stocked supermarkets at La Zenia are about a 5 minute drive away. Next to the Plaza is the Villamartin Golf Club which is equipped with its own swimming pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse restaurant which is open to the public for lunch and dinner.
Beaches:
The Costa Blanca is renowned for its' abundance of beautiful white sandy beaches, many of which have been awarded a Blue Flag rating. The nearest are La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Dehesa de Campoamor, which are within a 5 - 10 minute drive, and enjoy a very clean and safe family environment - the gentle sloping sand being ideal for children. Pedalos and water sports can be found at some of the other local beaches. There is also a coastal walking path which runs along this part of the coastline, ideal for walkers or joggers.
Costa Blanca Resort:
The Costa Blanca enjoys a mild climate with year round sunshine. The World Health Organisation recognise it as one of the healthiest areas in the world. The coast has an abundance of blue-flag beaches that vary in size from coves to wide sandy bays. Torrevieja is only a 15 min drive away and is a typical Spanish seaside town, where you will find lots of shops, tapas bars and a variety of restaurants offering international cuisines. It has an evening craft market and fair along the sea front, a local waterpark and an indoor bowling alley. Saturday is street market day in local Playa Flamenca - a 5 minute drive to a bustling scene with local produce, gifts in abundance and household goods. There are also larger markets held in Torrevieja, Guardamar and San Pedro.

Golf:
The Villamartin championship golf course ia a frequent venue for the Mediterranean Open, it is open all year round and is just a 5 minute walk from the property. The contrasting courses of Las Ramblas and Campoamor, set amongst ample water hazards, pine & palm trees are within a 5 minute drive. The famous two 18-hole Kentucky blue-grass courses at La Manga are accessible via a 35 minute drive south. The relatively new PGA course - La Finca - is about a 15 minute drive away. A golfers paradise!
