Situated in a superb location on the excellent and well established Verdemar development of Villamartin this house has everything you need as a base for a wonderful holiday, whether it be to try your luck on one of the 3 superb golf courses close by, as a family holiday on one of the beaches, or lounging by one of the two pools plus additional children's pool. Sunbathing on the secluded roof solarium with sea views is another attraction. The house has every facility including satellite TV with 21 channels including BBC and ITV as well as the sport channels. It also has Hi Fi, DVD, Video, a washing machine, and ceiling fans. There are also two adult bikes at the house that you can use, and a small BBQ for the rear patio. A very pretty fenced stream with goldfish and frogs runs in front of the house and is illuminated at night. There are many excellent restaurants and a new supermarket close by, whilst the main Plaza square with its shops, numerous restaurants and bars is 5min away.

Nearest Airport: Alicante at 30 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 2 Miles
Car: recommended
Villamartin is situated half an hour's motorway drive south of Alicante Airport. Exit when signposted La Zenia and the house is a simple 2 mile drive from there. The house is in a very quiet situation well away from any new building sites. It is a delightful and interesting area with a wonderful all year round sunny climate. An abundance of excellent blue flag beaches in well protected coves are just 2 miles away, and there are some scenic coastal pathways to explore. I recommend a drive into the mountains and to view the very picturesque Pedrera reservoir 10 miles away, whilst the larger town of Torrevieja with its shops, markets and marina for the sailing enthusiasts is a 4 mile drive away and well worth a visit. There are many other markets and various festivals going on in the area depending on the timing of your visit. My agent over there will be happy to point you in the right direction. The famous La Manga and Mar Menor resorts are approx 1 hour's drive away towards Cartagena.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of £100 is required on booking.
    The full cost of the rental period should be paid 4 weeks before you travel. A £200 security deposit will be charged and returned after the property is checked over for damages, losses etc. The property should be vacated by 11.00AM on the day of departure to allow for cleaning etc. A cleaning and laundry fee of 55 Euros should be left when you vacate the property. The electricity and water are included, there are no coin meters at the property. A welcome pack can be ordered for your arrival at a cost of 10 - 30 Euros, depending on your requirements.
  • Longer winter lets are available with prices subject to negotiation with the owner.
  • Linen and towels are provided but you must provide your own beach towels.
    There are various beach ' toys', buckets & spades, beach mats, snorkel kits etc. at the house which you are welcome to use. There is even a set of golf clubs.
    The pools are free and for the exclusive use of the Verdemar 11 community. You will have a key to access them. They have their own sun loungers which you are welcome to use free of charge. There are sun loungers and reclining chairs at the house for use on the sunroof or patio, not the beach.

Notes: For the comfort of other non smoking guests smoking is not allowed in the house. Smokers should use the front terrace or rear patio to indulge in any smoking activities. The lounge has an open fireplace and can be used for burning logs. Very cosy on winter evenings. A sofa bed in the lounge converts into a very comfortable double bed.

Extra Comments: You will be met at the property by my local agents who will hand over the keys, familiarise you with everything and answer any questions about the area you may have. There are some wonderful street markets in the area, you will find the details in the visitors book. There is also a craft market and fair on the seafront at Torrevieja every evening.

Alternative Airport: Murcia Airport is much closer at 12 miles than Alicante, Easy jet from Bristol fly there but you will need to check out your own local airport.
