The apartment is situated in the charming hillside town of Begur, and is less than 3 minutes walk from the village square with its interesting restaurants, and tappas bars. There is an fascinating market every Wednesday morning, and folk dancing and music performances at weekends during the summer. Between the terrace restaurants and speciality food shops are boutiques, and high class art shops. Within 15 minutes drive from the apartment are other delightful coastal villages such as Llafranc, Aiguablava, and Tamariu.

The Apartment is on Carrer del Raval. (see map). Begur is crowned by the ruins of a castle, overlooks a spectacular coastline and is a few minutes drive by car or shuttle bus (in season) from sandy bays, tiny coves, harbour and fishing ports. The Catalonian coastline between Barcelona and the French border offer some of the most spectacular coastal scenery. Barcelona with its international airport less than 2 hours away, is easily accessible as a day trip and is home to some of the worlds finest and most eccentric architecture. Figures to the north houses Salavador Dali's art gallery, which is the second most visited in Spain. Girona, also with an international airport only 45 minutes away is a magical place. This is a wonderful town to spend an evening in one of the restaurants in its many picturesque streets.

Location: The apartment is exceptionally well placed to enjoy history, culture, good food, and stunning bays and beaches.

Flights: Ryanair, BMI baby, Easyjet and others fly to Girona and Barcelona. Allow 45 minutes from Girona, and 1 and a half hours from Barcelona. Perpignan airport is also about 2 hours away

This property is perfect for people like us - grown up children and fond of eating and walking. Its just a short walk from the centre of Begur which is a very attractive walled town with several good quality restaurants. The surrounding area has some stunning coastal walks.
The apartment itself is well maintained and spotlessly clean.
The owners provide lots of help and information prior to departure and there is also useful info and maps in the apartment.
The surrounding area is interesting and the trip to Figueres for the Salvador Dali museum is well worth it.
We have stayed here twice and we like the apartment and the area. The apartment may not suit everyone, as being in a residential block it has no swimming pool and to get to the beach requires a car or bus trip.

Sights and Sounds of Costa Brava

The spotlessly clean and fresh apartment is well situated and within easy walking distance of the picturesque town of Begur where loads of resturants offer exotic tastes of this corner of Spain and there are tourist attractions like the old Castle with its magnificent views. There are a number of well-stocked Supermarkets in the town to assist with those provisions for a super, self-catering holiday. The kitchen in the apartment has all the necessary appliances and equipment to cook up your favourite meal. The highlight for us though were the many walks in the area, although steep at times, especially down to the ideallic, scenic coast (perfect for photography). Out of season, not many of the coastal coffee shops are open. I would conclude by stating that this is a good, value-for-money holiday.

My wife and I and our 4 year old daughter stayed here for a week in June 2009. We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
The location is very handy, just a short walk from the centre of Begur, and the apartment was very comfortable and had everything you need for a weeks holiday. We particularly enjoyed the west facing balcony for its memorable sunsets.

The owners were very helpful leading up to the holiday and had taken great care to provide lots of information about the surrounding area.

The area around Begur is stunning with loads of lovely beaches and coastal walks (the walk from Fornells to Aigua blava is not to be missed) all within very easy reach if you have a hire car.
