Location:
The apartments are on the edge of 'residential Begur' about 2 kilometres from the village centre, and 4 kilometres from the lively market town of Palafrugell. The area boasts some of the most picturesque bay resorts on the ruggedly beautiful Costa Brava coastline.
Getting there:
The local airport south of Girona city is about 45 minutes drive, Ryanair now operate five flights a day from Stansted and daily flights from Bournemouth, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin and several other major European cities. Barcelona or Perpignan airports are approximately 1.5 hours drive.
Local interest:
Begur has a growing selection of restaurants demonstrating the best of Catalan cooking. Simpler tastes are also well catered for by a variety of bistros and pizzerias offering excellent value. There is a weekly market in the village and daily markets locally in Sa Riera, Platja del Raco & Palafrugell.
The area around Girona is rich in history and culture and also offers many other attractions. These include the splendid city itself with its fascinating mix of the old and new, Figueres home to the amazing Salvador Dali museum, the unspoilt mediaeval village of Pals and the calming lakeside scenery around Banyoles with its many watersports.
