Authentic village house in heart of Begur

Location of house was perfect to walk to quiet and pleasant village square. Free car parking is available very close to house and beautiful coves and coastal walks within a short drive. Great wine warehouse also nearby, as advised by Tara, who lives opposite and was more than helpful with recommendations of places to eat, including her own, 'Dotze"!
The property exceeded our expectations- it exuded charm, with many original artworks, was spacious and had a well equipped kitchen.
Restaurants we enjoyed were Fonda Caner, very good value with the fixed price menu. Also the 'Sa Calletta", a tapas bar, also in the village' has heaps of charm.
From Begur, we also took trips to Montserrat, Cadaques and Dali's house, Gala's house in Pubol, and numerous Medieval villages. All fabulous! Further afield we drove to the parador at Cardona, and the beautiful village of Rupit in the Pyrenees- a long drive but worth it. We Aussies are used to long road trips!
Hopefully one day we'll be back!
