Can font de Muntanya is a beautiful 18th Century farmhouse (Masia) set on a mountain side in 300 acres of enchanting private forest in the Baix Emporda region. Its location makes it unique, and the views from the house are breathtaking. To the east the rolling countryside down to the Mediterranean Sea and to the west the spectacular snow capped Pyrenees, and yet we are only 10 mins by forest track from Cruilles and 15 min from the historic market town of La Bisbal. We have a new 10 m salt water swimming pool. The house has been lovingly restored and it boasts 4 spacious double ensuite bedrooms, 1 triple ensuite bedroom, 2 double bedrooms and 1 large bathroom, 2 large sitting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a wonderful outside dining area as well as an inside one, a huge Moroccan style porch where you can relax with a drink or play table tennis, and the forest is right outside for you to explore. All the rooms are individually and stylishly decorated with antiques from India & Europe.

The house is surrounded by forest yet is only a 10 min. drive by track, from the medieval village of Cruilles and 15 min away from the historic market town of La Bisbal, which is the capital of Baix Emporda. The region has been compared to Tuscany or Provence. La Bisbal is famous throughout Spain for its lovely ceramics, and there is an excellent farmers market every Friday where you can find an abundance of local produce (great olives Jamon etc). La Bisbal is an excellent starting point for many excursions, the crystalline waters of the Costa Bravas finest beaches are 15 to 20 min away, there are many world class golf courses nearby, medieval ruins and villages, the Dali triangle, and Girona, Barcelona and France are all within easy reach. Catalan cuisine is renowned and there are many great restaurants in the area.
