Traditional Catalan villa in a peaceful location close to the town of Calonge within easy reach of Girona and Barcelona. The modernised villa is equipped to a high standard retaining its Spanish charm. It is on one level with driveway to front door. Spacious grounds with private heated pool, paved poolside patio and small grassy area - a place to relax or a base for exploring the many attractions in the area. Long safe sandy beaches are a 5 minute drive away at St Antoni and the old fishing port of Palamos with a long promenade connecting them for those who like a stroll. Excellent restaurants, local markets daily in nearby towns and shopping, beach and night-life in Playa D'Aro. Barcelona, Girona, L'Bisbal (centre of ceramics) and Figueres (Dali museum) are great day trips within easy reach. There are many local hiking trails; stunning medieval towns to explore and golf, tennis, mini-golf and water sports. Our agents live locally and will offer you a friendly and personal service.

Villa Bella is located in the peaceful urbanisation of Vizcondado de Cabanyes, near the unspoilt medieval town of Calonge, and the seaside resort of St Antoni. Being close to both the Gavarres hills and the sea, there are many hiking trails. From the terrace there are views across hills to the sea. It is just 40 minutes from Girona airport and 90 minutes from Barcelona and an easy drive from the French border near Perpignan. A long coastline of wide sandy beaches and rocky coves provide bathing in the wonderful climate. Art and culture in Barcelona and Figueres and numerous medieval towns provide excellent sightseeing opportunities. There are good shops, colourful daily markets and a wide choice of restaurants in local towns and a newly opened tapas bar/restaurant a 5 minute walk away. An Aquapark and several PGA golf courses are nearby.

Sunny Getaway.

We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing week at this extremely comfortable, well equipped villa. Although it was October, the weather was very warm and sunny and because of the lovely heated pool, we were able to swim every day. It was a great base for visiting Girona, Barcelona and the many beautiful coves, beaches and historic towns in the area. We enjoyed the 'menu of the day' lunches at several of the local restaurants, which were great value for money. We shall definetely go back again.

The perfect getaway

Villa Bella is spacious and comfortable, with all the conveniences of home. While there are other villas in proximity, the impression is one of seclusion. The terrace provides a lovely view for outdoor dining while the dual-level pool area allows an alternative for more casual meals. The swimming pool is delightful: not only is it heated, it comes equipped with colorful lights for evening swims, and is large enough that several people can swim lengths comfortably. The sun deck comes equipped with a number of comfortable lounge chairs. It's an easy walk to town to buy local provisions. By car, it is possible to visit a great variety of Catalan villages and sites. I highly recommend Villa Bella; it's the perfect place for a restful, relaxing getaway.

Good spot for a family holiday

Villa Bella was a great base for exploring Catalonia with two small children. The pool was a bit chilly in October, but it was nice and clean and well-fenced and it would be warm in summer. There are other houses beside the villa but the back of the property is private.The house is very well equipped but the bedrooms are not very large - there is room for a cot in the single room, but not in the master bedroom. The garden is a good size with plenty of room to bbq and the terrace is lovely for al fresco dining. The welcome and the service provided were very good. You would need to rent a car, and it's worth exploring - there are lovely beaches and medieval towns within fifteen minutes drive. There is a super choice of restaurants in nearby towns. There are some nice walks nearby also - coastal and forest trails that are well marked and easy to follow. I would recommend Villa Bella for families (we had grandparents with us too and they liked it) or for others looking for a quiet holiday, where you can dictate the pace yourself and really enjoy Catalonia from a comfortable base.

Für unsere 5-köpfige Familie genau das richtige. Gepflegtes, geräumiges und sehr gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus. Liebevolle und nicht aufdringliche Betreuung. Für die Erkundung der Umgebung, Selbsverpflegung und für das Erreichen des Strandes oder Cala (kleine Bucht)Auto notwendig. Empfehlung: Cala Cap Roig. In Richtung Platja d'aro am Hotel Saint Jordi Parken. Durch von der Strasse kaum sichtbaren Weg zu erreichen. Pool im ausgezeichneten Zustand und für Kinder das richtige. Im Ganzen sehr zu empfehlen.
