Estrella del Mar is a comfortable detached villa is ideal for a family or four adults seeking peace and tranquility in an idyllic setting. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with a bathroom and beautiful views across the valley to the Gavarres Mountains. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting / dining room (fan) with fully fitted kitchen and a separate cloakroom and utility room. The living room is tastefully furnished with seating for six and is equipped with satelite TV, DVD player and audio equipment and a feature fireplace with open fire for those cooler evenings. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen, which is well equipped, including a dishwasher. The Patio doors lead to a covered terrace providing shade and shelter in which to relax and into the garden with the kidney shaped pool (6x5x1.80 mtrs. (at deepest point)) The pool has a build-in stairs (childfriendly).There is a full range of garden furniture and an electric barbecue.

Viscondado de Cabanyes is an architect designed development of detached villas on a South facing mountainside just outside the medieval village of Calonge. Although the setting is rural and peaceful it is not remote and it is only a ten minute drive to shops, restaurants and safe, sandy beaches. There is an abundance of golf courses within a twenty mile radius from informal par three courses for the less experienced to challenging Championship courses for serious golfers. Walkers are particularly well catered for with coastal and more adventurous mountain routes easily accessible from the villa. The location makes this villa ideal for exploring the unspoilt Costa Brava coastline and yet it is only one hour on the train to the centre of Barcelona one of the most vibrant and lively European cities.

Great summer holidays

Our family (parents, two daughters, 17 and 26 years) spent two weeks in July 2008 in that lovely villa. It was very clean, comfortable, big enough for 4 people, with a wonderful terrace and a not so very big, but big enough and nice pool. One bedroom had a balcony with table and two chairs and when you are sitting there, you have a wonderful view over the wooden mountains. The kitchen is very well equipped, we cooked very often. The living-room is nice with comfortable furniture. But best we liked the garden with the big terrace and the pool and the garden furniture and flowers and palm trees. Everything was wonderful. Once a week a gardener came, and twice or three times the week someone cleaned the pool.
But you can´t only lie in the sun or swim, there are nice towns to visit, the Dali museum is a must, there are many different beaches, it is not at all boring there. Of course the beaches are crowded and unfortunately the Spanish built ugly houses along some beaches, but then you even love the villa and its surrounding more.
We would absolutely recommend this house!
