Situated in Vizcondado de Cabanyes, only 2km from the delightful village of Calonge in the heart of the Costa Brava. The villa is located high in the hills of Gavarres,overlooking a wooded green belt valley, with magnificent views of the sea and the old fishing port of Palamos. The villa has 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom and 2 further big double bedrooms plus 2 bathrooms. A spacious living room opens to a large terrace ideal for alfresco dining, overlooking the 11x5 m2 pool with further terraces to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The magnificent beaches at Sant Antoni,Palamos and Playa D´Aro are only 10 min. drive away. Calonge is close to Girona airport (40 min), Barcelona (1.1/2 hour) and Perpignan(1.1/4 hour). Daily markets are held at local towns, with excellent shops, a well stocked supermarkets and restaurants that open all year long. 8 excellent Golf courses are between 10min. to 40 min drive from the villa. Ideal for relaxing, with a variety of activities nearby.

The Medieval town of Calonge winds round narrow streets with many unusual buildings and, at the centre the castle(originally) of the Dukes of Sessa. Market day is thursday and should be visited for a wide variety of food stuffs and to soak up the atmosphere. The fine sandy beach at Sant Antoni de Calonge (the seafaring part of Calonge), stretches around to Palamos Check with the local tourist office for festivals and events during your stay. Nearby activities include a water park at Platja d'aro, go carts, crazy golf, windsurfing, water sports and with 8 high quality golf courses within a 40 minute drive, access to some outstanding golf.

Fantastic Holiday House on the Costa Brava

We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this beautiful and spacious house. We found it to be well equipped and very clean. All reception rooms and bedrooms enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and down towards the coastline including Palamos Bay. We loved eating outside on the large terraced area overlooking the mountain and enjoyed many BBQS. The villa's large pool has wide terraces surrounding it where we sunbathed. The local beaches, restaurants, shops etc. are all easy to get to and we really enjoyed wandering around the quaint little old streets of Calonge and Palamos. We would thoroughly recommend this villa and area for a truly relaxing and peaceful holiday.

We were lucky to have found this villa for our holidays in Spain last year. We saw the pictures on the Internet site but the reality exceeded our expectations! The house is spacious, very well equipped and with the two levels, two terraces, the swimming pool area it guarantees comfort and intimacy. The view is splendid and the localisation on top of the hill makes it perfect for those who wish to stay away from the crowd. And it's only 10 min drive from Calonge where you can find shops, restaurants and the beach. We had a wonderful time (3 peaceful weeks) and it would be a pleasure to return there in the future.
