Romanya de La Selva: This villa is located near to the medieval hamlet of Romanya de la Selva, situated in the mountains just behind Playa d'aro. It is 8 km to the village of Calonge with its supermarket, weekly fresh produce market, shops, bars and restaurant and about 13 km to the famous fishing town of Palamos. The internationally renowned golf course of Mas Nou is only a few km from the villa. Barcelona and Perpignan can be reached in an hour. Romanya is a very pretty typical Catalan village, home to 2 fabulous restaurants and a bar the area offers mapped walks just outside your door, bikes paths and stunning mountain views that will take your breath away. One of the best features is that it is close enough to all that the area has to offer and yet just far enough away to offer you a really relaxed holiday destination where you can pick and choose what kind of atmosphere you’d like for each day!

Sports: The large variety of activities in this area include: sailing, water skiing, surfing, kite surfing and par ascending. There are at least 6 spectacular golf courses in the region, 2 of which are very close to the villa. There is tennis, riding, diving, snorkelling, deep sea fishing. Walking, mountain biking, quad biking and motocross. You can hire boats in season from all the seaside resorts and there are boat trips to enjoy the famous and completely stunning coastline.

Touring: There are endless places to visit in the area. Ranging from historic sites like the ruins of the Greco/Roman city of Ampurias or The famous museum of Dali in Figueres to local markets in small towns and villages. The town of La Bisbal is totally devoted to the production of the most amazing range of pottery and ceramics. There are spectacular coastal drives to Cadaques (an artists town), Puerto de la Selva, Tossa del Mar and Aigua Blava - all well worth a visit. Girona is a beautiful city with lots of history as is Barcelona. Motorbike hire is available with the property on request.
