Set on a mountainside, just seven minutes drive to the local sandy beaches and 10 minutes to the lively town of Playa d'Aro, our villa will hopefully become a home from home for your holiday. Just 25 minutes drive from Gerona Airport (Ryanair) and 45 minutes from Barcelona airport, Villa Buena Vista is a great choice for your well deserved break. It enjoys the sun all day, has its own private pool, large terrace, central heating and a real fire and is fully equipped with all mod cons including satellite TV, DVD player, BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There are numerous well reputed golf courses in the area and the old village of Calonge is renowned for its fantastic mountain walks and historical buildings. It is set in on a mountainside but still within a short drive of every amenity imaginable. So whether it's a quiet break, a golfing holiday or a family treat you're after - this is the place for you! A piece of old Spain with all the trimmings!

Set in an amazing location, in the urbanisation of Rio De Oro, this villa is surrounded by the Gavarre mountain range yet just a few minutes drive from the beautiful beaches of St Antoni, Palamos and Playa DÁro. Just 10 minutes from the villa is a huge aquatic park with every water ride imaginable, whilst the historical town of Gerona is just half an hours drive from the house. Calonge village is a beautiful medieval village with lovely bakeries, a castle and a beautiful ancient church with an adjoining square where the local older couples dance after Mass every Sunday. It is definitely one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Brava.

Making your holiday GREAT!: We are sure that once you visit Calonge and the Costa Brava you will be in love with the area. Luckily, where our villa is situated, you can enjoy the sunshine all day whilst gazing at the amazing surrounding mountain views. And in the evening you can watch the ships sail across the sea in the distance with our telescope. We have a visitors book in the villa which outlines the various attractions in the area, including Salvador Dali's museum in Figueres (40 minutes drive away), the beautiful pottery town of La Bisbal, (20 minutes away) and dozens of other interesting places to visit. The nearby beaches are second to none and if you want a cosy area to sunbathe, there are many coves within just a few minutes drive of the house for you to lay down your beach towel and chill out. Just three minutes drive from the house is a little tourist office in Calonge village and it has a wealth of leaflets on local amenities, festivals, etc. Once you have experienced this holiday you'll be hooked!

Restaurants: We strongly recommend Restaurant Rio De Oro, just as you come into the urbanisation! It is a beautiful restaurant, very reasonably priced and yet very upmarket. The staff are very friendly and you will love the surroundings and of course the food is great! We also recommend the restaurant Llevant, in Playa D'Aro, for a cheap and cheerful meal. This is a very large restaurant on the main street in Playa D'Aro and is especially good if you have young children. If you are hoping to have a meal in Rio De Oro we recommend you make a booking as people come from far and wide at weekends to dine here and bear in mind it does not open on Tuesdays.

Golf: We are surrounded by some of the best courses in the Costa Brava so you have the luxury of always being near a great course, yet still having time in the day to head home and chill by the pool with a glass of Cava. If you are having a family holiday there is plenty for the rest of the gang to do in Playa DÁro, with its gorgeous restaurants and coffee shops, beaches and fun park, or they can just relax and enjoy a swim at home. However, remember it is necessary to have a car to get around comfortably.

on arival found villa to be way above our expectations, the pictures used in the advert do not express how luxurios the it is, great size being large enough for two/three families to share without being on top of one and other.
Pool is a good size and ther are a number of different areas to sit out in depending on your preference, shade, full sun,private,
The villa had everything you could possibly need so no need to pack the kitchen sink!
Location is good and easy to find, you will neeed a car to get around in though, situated within short driving distance between two nice coatl resorts and if you prefere a short drive from some lovely quiete beaches aprox 15 minute drive.
Booking the villa was trouble free and the owner provided prompt responces to any queries,
Plenty of good resturants and bars in the resorts and nearby resturant of Rio Di Ora [walking distance] is a great place to eat, service and food in style without the price.
all in all we would reccomend the villa and location to anyone

What an amazing villa, I have never stayed in such luxury. The villa is so spacious, even with my large family I felt relaxed. We all had our own bathrooms and a big dining area which we enjoyed most evenings. The villa has plenty of dvd's and books for the kids and the view is outstanding. You are literally looking out onto mountains and yet only a small walk to a beautiful Spanish restaurant.
We hired a car and drove to Figueres, where the Salvador Dali muesum is. Well worth visiting. We also drove to Gerona for some shopping. The local town is Calogne, we had dinner in Muni, very old style and lovely bakery for breads. I would love to go back with the girls to chill with books, sunny weather, spotless clean pool and some good wine. Thank you so much!
