The villa sleeps 6 people in 1 large double bedroom with luxury ensuite bathroom and 2 twin bedded rooms sharing a family bathroom. There is an additional WC downstairs. There is a terraced area off the upstairs hallway which catches the afternoon and evening sun. Downstairs is a fully fitted luxury kitchen, including a dishwasher and microwave, and an utility room with a washing machine. The spacious living areas are open plan and furnished to a high standard for your comfort. Two sets of patio doors lead from the living area to an outdoor terrace. The landscaped gardens extending round the villa are fully enclosed, with a kidney shaped swimming pool, sun terrace and lawn. We feel the Costa Brava has it all - vast sandy beaches, small rugged coves, medieval villages, art and culture, history, watersports, golf, extreme activities, etc. Along with plenty of sunshine, it has everything to offer for a fantastic holiday, whatever your interests.

This recently completed villa, built in the Catalan style, is situated in a quiet residential area, just 1km from the centre of the historic town of Calonge. There is a supermarket nearby, many local restaurants which are family friendly and a weekly market. The golden sands of Sant Antoni are only a short drive, also the bustling fishing harbour of Palamos and cosmopolitan Platja d'Aro. For smaller, more tranquil beaches, try the beautiful coves of Tamariu, Llafranc and Calella which are only 15 minutes drive. Enjoy a day in Barcelona - maybe shopping, or visiting the Gaudi sights with the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia church - about 1 hour by train from Flaça station. Or take a trip into charming Girona, situated on the river, with its cathedral and old quarter - less than an hour's drive. The region is generally more sophisticated than the busier resorts of the other 'Costas' with a slower pace of life and beautiful countryside.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment terms: A 20% non-refundable deposit to be paid on booking. The balance to be paid 8 weeks before departure. There is also a refundable security deposit of £250 payable with the final balance. This deposit will be refunded to you within 14 days of your return, minus any breakages.
    The rental price is fully inclusive and no additional charges are made for utilities. Payment will be accepted by Sterling cheque, euro or sterling bank transfer.
    The villa will be cleaned at the beginning and end of your rental. For an additional fee we can arrange for a mid-term clean. Grocery shopping can also be organized for an additional fee.
  • Holiday Insurance: We strongly recommend that you obtain holiday insurance for the period concerned. We do not offer refunds on cancellations once the final balance has been paid.
  • The villa must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure to enable it to be cleaned and prepared for the next guest. Occupation is from 4pm.

Eating Out: Wining and dining in Catalonia is a favourite pastime of locals and visitors alike. This area of Spain is well known for its gastronomic delights, yet an average 3 course meal can cost as little as €10 per person, with many excellent local wines.

Airports: The nearest airports are Girona (40 minutes) and Barcelona (90 minutes). Both airports are services by low cost airlines. We have also scheduled our changeover days so that you can benefit from the cheapest flights which are usually mid-week.

Golf: The Costa Brava has thirteen 18 hole golf courses in total, 8 of which are in easy reach of the villa. The fees are also very reasonable when compared to other Spanish and Portuguese courses. Please bear in mind that most of the courses have a dress-code and a required handicap, and many will insist on seeing the handicap certificate before teeing off.

Facilities were first class, peaceful and quiet, but within easy reach of the coastal resorts.

The villa was fantastic, great views, spacious and within easy reach of local areas. Gardens and pool area were great. Thank you for making the villa like a home from home, it made for a fantastic holiday.

Very nice stay, the villa was clean, modern and very well kept. Karl was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome & looked after.

The villa is lovely and the garden blooming. The weather has been superb, a welcome break after the bad summer in England! A relaxing time had by all.

Pros:
-Very spacious, nice rooms
-Excellent pool
-Nice mountain view
-Well equipped villa, though we missed a blender and a floormop.
-Great area with Palamos only 8-10 min. away
-Nice Nearby playground.
Cons:
-Some noise from the nearby main road, even at night.
-Very warm at night in july so A/C could be nice.
-Ceiling lamps not clean (dead insects)
-Garden tables and chairs are lousy.
-Large sunshade missing, so we did not eat outside at all.
-1st floor terrace/balcony has no table or chairs so you do not use it.
-East-facing terrace has no table or chairs.
-At finally, unfortunately the house is almost "occupied" by small ants, and even though this is an "ant area", they were in large numbers in the kitchen area, where using "bug powder" is not appropriate.
