With two twin/double bedrooms a bathroom on the ground floor and a twin/double master suite with its own bathroom and double doors opening onto a private balcony this luxury villa offers superb family or group accommodation. The enormous lounge/dining room is very comfortably equipped with 2 large 3 seater sofa beds and 2 arm chairs as well as a dining table and chairs for up to 8 people. With a 32' Wide-screen LCD TV, UK satellite TV & Radio, DVD and CD players there is no need to miss the soaps. The kitchen has oven, hob, dishwasher, double sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer and utility area with washing machine. 2 sets of double doors open out onto a covered terrace leading to a large secluded patio, private pool and lawn area. There are 4 sunloungers as well as a large table and 8 chairs. At the rear of the property there is a separate BBQ area with stone table, seating and BBQ. With views of the Gavarres Hills and medieval church at Calonge this is a beautiful Villa

Situated between the Gavarres hills and the sea close to the beaches of St Antoni and Platja d'Aro. There are many sandy beaches and rocky bays for swimmers and all kinds of water sports in the vicinity. The countryside is ideal for walkers. This area is a golfers paradise, with championship courses and several 18 and 9 hole courses to test the best players. There are three water parks in the region, Aqua Diver (less than 5km away), Marineland (which has dolphins and other animals) and Waterworld. An hour to the north lies Figueres boasting amongst other things the surreal experience of the Theatre-museum Dali. Palamos 5km away is a lovely medieval town with beaches, fishing port, marina, bars, restaurants and shopping. Platya D'Aro is less than 10km and boasts lively night life with numerous clubs, bars restaurants and many shops and Barcelona is 100km to the south. The atmosphere is always friendly the food and drink plentiful, excellent quality and great value.

  • Each bedroom has ample cupboard space and bed side tables. The Master bedroom has double french doors opening onto a private balcony with table and two chairs - plenty of room for sunbathing too! Bedroom 2 has a large window with views over the Gavarres and the village of Calonge. Bedroom 3 has double french doors opening onto the patio and pool. In the lounge there are two very large double sofa beds. There is also a bed guard should younger children need to use the beds and a travel cot for babies and toddlers.

Notes: The property is gated and secure, and there is ample outside lighting to allow BBQs, parties and so forth at all hours - as long as you invite the neighbours! There is a huge garage at ground level so you can keep the car out of the sun and further parking for up to two cars on the drive. The nearest supermarket is Valvi about 800m towards Calonge and the nearest restaurant - Jovita - is about 400m in the same direction in case you get thirsty or hungry on the way to or back from the supermarket. There are half a dozen or more restaurants within 1km of the villa and many more in the seaside towns less than 10 minutes drive away. In Calonge there are all sorts of amenities such as banks, bakers, florists, charcuterie, Internet cafe as well as the medieval castle and church. There is also a weekly market on a Thursday or Friday.

The best villa in Calonge.

We have stayed at this extremely comfortable, well equipped, spacious and luxurious villa 4 times and would, without hesitation, recommend it to others. It is in a very peaceful location yet is only 10 minutes from the beautiful beach at St. Antoni de Calonge. The views from the villa are delightful and the pool is immaculately clean - it is also lovely and big. The new satelite tv is flat screen, very large and is definitely home from home - no pokey little old tv here and, as we have stayed a couple of times in the winter period, a good tv is a must for us. the property is new and therefore very clean. It is tastefully furnished and is also well maintained, in fact, it is immaculate. Calonge is well situated to visit some of the other popular resorts to its north and south. The owner could not be more helpful and friendly when exchanging e-mails and we are so happy that we have found this wonderful holiday villa. M & K
