Activities on Land, Sea and Air:
Activities. Empuriabrava is a Windsurfing Mecca and has held numerous championship events. There are all types of watersports available from kite-surfing, water-skiing, wet bikes, scuba, snorkelling, sailing and motor boating.
Motor boats can be hired by the hour/day for poodling around the canals or heading out along the coast. Smaller ‘Eco friendly’ electric powered boats can be hired for your full enjoyment of the miles of waterways that make up this unique resort
At the marina there is the Club Nautico with a full range of leisure activities large outdoor pool, gym, Jacuzzi, sauna, badminton, squash and refreshment bar.
For the more adventurous there is a skydiving club at the aerodrome situated by the main entrance to the resort, 20 minute walk or 5 mins in a car. Adjacent to this is a large go cart track with circuits for all ages to enjoy.
Also near the entrance is the Tennis club with a range of courts to play or practice.
Culture Vultures :
For the culture vultures the area is steeped in history and art. Salvador Dali made this area his home and spent most of his artistic life here. Port LLagat has his house museum where he painted some of his finest works and is open to the public. The Dali museum in Figuares is a must as is the town itself.
Just a short drive along the coast are the Roman ruins of Empuries and houses and mosaics can be seen on a fabulous coastal setting.
A day trip to Barcelona will reward with some of the most prominent work of Antonio Gaudi including the Parc Guelle the Sacrada Del Familla Cathedral and numerous buildings of architectural interest.
Wine and Vine Yards:
The area is a large wine producing area with ‘Torres’ famous for its Vina Sol brand being one of the main houses. Rioja is the main grape grown and there are numerous vineyards to visit and purchase wine direct from the grower
Ski:
The house is about 3 hours drive from Andorra ski resort.
Golf:
There is a superb mini golf located in the opposite road, as well as numerous other activities to keep the whole family amused.
Nearby the resort are the great Golf courses of Perelada, Emporda del golf, Torremirona and numerous other courses including Par 3 type pitch and put.
